Inspired by Pablo's working out thread, i was wondering how far we hit our clubs? I consider myself a short hitter:

9 iron: 115 yards
7 iron: 140 yards
5 iron: 165 yards

Driver about 230 just now in this weather.

Not a full list (i'm not using a half set..)

I know its accurracy that counts, but still - what about everyone else?

Nearly identical although I'm about 5 yards shorter usually. Can sometimes hit a 5 as short as my 9

9 iron - 165
7 iron - 190
5 iron - 205

Good day, flat lie, no wind.
I play a lot of choke down shots so could take more club from these distances but if I do hit full shots these distances are pretty spot on.

How far do you drive the ball?

Must be looking at 260/280 easily? x

Jesus, i hit it practically nowhere compared to some of you.

I need to follow pablo's workout plan, or pile on a few pounds to get behind the thing!

Very easily! :D

Never hit drivers to par 4's under 300, unless its wise to be long and there isn't too much pressure on accuracy!
Often get to them with 3 woods anyway.

Do drive pretty straight generally but when I do miss it can miss BIG!!

Never been a long hitter so not bothered what others are taking. I laugh when Hywel hits something rude like an 8 iron into a par 3 and I'm going with 4 or 5.

I used to be able to carry a 7 iron 150-155 (that's carry) but as I'm now getting on a bit I've lost about 10 yards off of that.
Having said that, the other week at Edenbridge on the 1st I had 148 to the flag, perfect lie (ball sitting up like a dogs bollock in the semi) and I absolutely caned an 8 iron straight as an arrow pitched about 10 feet behind the flag. Missed the birdie putt though....
I'm wedging about 100-110 so not the biggest hitter in the world.
