i think the 5 iron 200 yards but one of my buddies can hit a 9 iron 140 off a tee so we are all diferent. appologies for the suggestive talk in an earlier post to Pete, never realised he was a junior.

All approximates as I only know relatively accurate distances for my PW and 6 iron.
9 iron 140
7 iron 165
5 iron 190 (but it's a rare occurence so I stick with my 6)

However I'd happily give up ten yards a club to hit it arrow straight every time.

It all depends on the contact, the swing, the day, the weather, the temperature, how firm the ground is, whether it's a monday (I hate mondays, puts me in a bad mood), if I am out to impress, if I shank it (quite common), thin it (more so), fat it (possible), top it (can get ludicrous distance from a 9i along the ground), so who knows.

One day I will middle one, and let you all know.

Good shooting Pokerjoke... I might not be the longest with my irons but my minimum drive carry is 667 yards... I'm nomally hitting back to Par5 greens that I've carried
