I take it that you are actually talking about the effects of man made pollution rather than natural and cyclic climate change.
Good point, i also do the same with the heatingI turn all the lights off that my wife leaves on every day.
Every single bulb is now an energy saver. This used to annoy my missus in the kitchen till I finally got hold of some good neutral white COB lights which do the job nicely. Non-essential items are on timers and smart plugs to try and keep usage down. (Yes, I know smartplugs use energy, but less than leaving the items switched on). Also saves us money too.I turn all the lights off that my wife leaves on every day.
This is probably the biggest difference we can make and is usually not credited in these discussions.
In my time I've worked for a company that produced VOC, CFC, HFCs, toxic chemicals, etc. I come from a town that was once described, and with good reason, to be one of the most polluted in England (In 1888 the town was described as "the dirtiest, ugliest and most depressing town in England" and in 1905 as a "poisonous hell-town".). The legacy of that is still there today. In the past, some of this can be put down to ignorance, some to callousness and others to who cares. Nowadays the ignorance card is harder to play. People don't believe it because they don't want to, or "everyone else is doing it!", or "what can I do?", or "my little bit won't make a difference". As someone who has grown up with pollution and it's legacy, I know how important change is needed.
Saying that, I put my robust constitution to the fact that living there has conditioned my body against most nasties![]()
Slough!? Luxury!I had no idea you lived in Slough.
Population increase is at the root to most of the Worlds problems.Exactly.
If everyone and no more than 2 kids per family, the population of the planet would decrease.
Exactly.

Not a problem.
I've had none s
Not really.
One in 10 couples WHO WANT CHILDREN have fertility problems whereas one couple in 250 may have twins.
Add in the people who don't want kids and the plan is back on track
We have low energy bulbs throughout?
Electric car
Collect rain water and use waste water where possible.
Compost food and garden waste
Repair stuff where possible.
Every bit helps
