I somehow won some callaway chrome soft golf balls in the midweek stableford, haven't had a chance to hit them yet but how do they compare to nxt tours that I normally play, I'm a slow swinging (around 90 I think) high handicapper.

I normally play NXT Tour S and found a Chrome soft last week and played with it yesterday.

It was very stable in the wind and putted well. It felt about the same but I suspect it is actually a bit softer.

Seems like a very good ball.

good balls, wouldn't hesitate to use one in a bounce game.. and prob would in a medal TBH. best Callaways ive ever played with thats for sure.

I would also say its a miles better ball than an NXT, i just find these like rocks off the putter, where as the CS is almost as soft to put with as a Prov1

Would very much agree. Best Cally ball I've used aswell. Much softer than the Tour is/iz. Similar from irons and woods as the Hex black but not as clicky off the putter.

I like them, strangely though I don't get any feeling from the putter either. So I have put the Cameron to one side and pulled out a centre shafted 2 ball with a white hot insert.... The Chrome Soft seems more obedient around the greens and spin is consistent as well.

Very good balls. Comparable to a Pro V1 but much cheaper. I am using them currently.

Ive just gone a couple of rounds without them, playing TM Tp balls

bit longer of the driver but not as straight

that could always be the tool behind the club not putting a good swing on it with water proofs on

great ball the chromesoft, bit soft off the putter.

i use the 1st incarnation new ones are supposed to be touch firmer may suit the feel im after

I use the chrosmesoft and have been using the new 2016 version recently - really like the callaway ball range and the chrosmesoft is a excellent ball which can be had for a decent price but I really do like the supersoft also. Can be soft of the putter face but I like that, I don't like to feel like I'm hitting rocks.

Excellent ball IMO, unfortunately I have a small supply of AD333 Tour balls still left but once their gone or scuffed I'll be looking for some deals again for Chome Softs, although I played the whole back 9 with a Pro V1x today and really liked it 🤔

I find the Chome Soft not as spinny as the AD333 Tour so they are better off the tee for me,I like them also around and on the green, I think they are an excellent all round ball for the price, but I did like the Pro V1x I played with today and have to use when I play with my doubles partner in our Foursones & Greensomes comps.

Best ball on the market IMO. Feel is subjective so don't be influenced by people who say it's too soft off the putter face, experience it for yourself.

Played with them yesterday, although I played shockingly I quite enjoyed the feel of them, actually really liked the feel off my putter and a higher percentages of drives seemed straighter.

I have a bag full of immaculate ProV1s courtesy of those who leave them lying around the course after one shot (or so) but will always use a Chrome soft in preference (either model) since being introduced to them last spring.

Very good ball, shouldn't be rocket science that if you produce a soft feeling ball aimed at the mere mortals with an SS below 105-110 for 10-15 quid less than all the competing balls that they will sell
