Well we're nearly all done!!!! We been a bit slow to get started, ordering a bit here and there when we see things online. BUT NOW!!!!! Wahoooooo! Full on online!!!!! Everythings turned up. E bay stuff, Amazon too. I've only got a couple of bits to order tomorrow when the wifes at work and that's me done. I don't think I'll ever go out to do this again. It's been great. No shivering in the icy wind. Going in and out of red hot shops into ice cold air. Trudging about in wet clothes / coats. Standing outside womens clothes shops with other blokes.
Yup, online Xmas. It's THE ONLY WAY !!!

Have started to think about buying stuff now...no idea what to get anyone though, and have a family that don’t do ‘nik naks’ so small random gifts don’t work!

I’m sure it‘ll figure out ?

I usually do the lion's share of mine online anyway. Added bonus this year is that you can bypass the fact you won't be allowed to see anyone and have the gift delivered directly to their house. (y) AND you won't even have to wrap it then! Result.

Whilst you can’t beat Amazon etc for convenience,
Spare a thought for your local independent shops that are having a really hard time.

It might cost a tad more and you might have to get off your backside to get it, but if it helps save a small business, then it’s worth it ?
You have to be careful with that Phil, many thousands of small, local independent buisness sell through Amazon and their livelihoods depend on that as well.

I am one of those people that enjoys going round the shops. I just normally choose my times and days carefully to avoid the crowds, very easy in the current climate.

Our local shops are rubbish. Our old fogie councillors have been trying to revitalise it for years, but are going down the route of wanting little diddy shops which are rubbish and close after 6 months. They have spent literally millions over the last two years to make this happen to no avail. Idiots ?. We usually go to Cheshire oaks for a good nosey about before Christmas but that usually turns into a big walk about in lousey weather. Nope as much as I like shopping, there I said it, I've enjoyed doing it online much more than I thought I would and have bought from small shops via Amazon. So I've done my bit. Only three things to get today and I'll be done ? unless I spot some other bits.

Didn't Bruce Willis do a film about this, it was called Surrogates. Folk just existing at home and not going out

Just sit back and shove a USB stick up one nostril and a dongle somewhere else and that's you sorted

If covid was gone tomorrow then shopping from home is probably the last thing folks want to do this year

I do a reasonable amount of online shopping all year round.

I often buy direct from China particularly for small items where the overall cost is less than the cost of postage form a UK stockist and for very large items that I can have delivered to my home to save the hassle of getting them loaded in to a car. Also for the other very major benefit of cost.

All done!!! Job completed by 10am this morning. :D

Just got to wait for everything to turn up and get things wrapped.

PS I think I've fixed our leaning christmas tree as well.
