Good luck fella. Hope it all goes well. Christmas can wait.

Thanks Digger. Treatment going well so far, all lumps and bumps seem to have disappeared and consultant is happy with my progress. Absolutely mind numbing though being off work and at home all day.

Food still to buy although all meat has been ordered from the local butcher. Tree and decorations are still in loft but they will be dragged out on Saturday. HID presents are mostly purchased, the others are still hiding on the internet somewhere. I will make the most of Xmas day, albeit alcohol free for the first time ever since 1980. Boxing day is blood tests, and the 27th is chemo number 6 of 8. Roll on Xmas 2018 so that I can celebrate in style.

Good luck matey. Enjoy the day as much as you can and good luck on Boxing Day. Here's to good news for you in 2018

I shall raise a glass to you and wish you all the best with the chemo.

Thanks to everyone for your kind words and support. I will certainly enjoy this Christmas with my family and friends regardless of how I feel. It maybe a sober one, but definitely not my last.
