It's a great time of the year, and the best bit is the Christmas dinner. As a joke present one year I got the misses "Jamies Christmas" DVD, a quid from Poundy. This has turned out to be THE BEST £1 I have ever spend. It is now the xmas dinner bible. If you can find it on e bay or charity shops, get it, and follow the instructions.

Utterly delicious !!!!

to be fair, i would eat a xmas dinner every sunday. Best meal ever!

There was an article in the Sun years ago about some eejit that celebrated Christmas every single day

not sure about xmas dinner every weekend ,but pancakes any time will do for me ,why does everybody only ever have them on pancake day?

We have them every so often. Sometimes at night, a mixture of savoury and sweet, sometimes for breakfast at the weekend, sweet only. One of lifes pleasures. It helps that we have two kids as that somehow justifies it. Have pancakes more often Norrin, lovely things.

Current favourite topping is marmalade, lemon and sugar in second place.

Would give anything for roast rib of beef instead of bloody turkey at Xmas, rest of family dont agree alas.

I can turn into Victor Meldrew eating a humbug if things aren't managed very very carefully re extended 'family arrangements' at Christmas.

That week between Xmas and New year can feel like the twilight zone.

Can take or leave the whole shenanigans tbh
