Feel sorry for the bloke and the fans, if they wanted to make a change for a more exp manager then why wait till now ? Surley this should of been done at the start of the season.

Joke of a club and I hope they get relegated.

Mike Ashley is a prime example of what a tool money can turn someone into. He is a man with no class whatsoever. Hughton was doing a great job.

Chrissy Hughton, get your arse back down the lane!

Joke of a man - aye

Joke of a club - no

Joke of a club is a snipe at the current state of things and the way it is run, sorry if it seemed disrespectful to the club in terms of history and supporters.

Why would anyone want to see us relegated because of the actions of one fat cockney Spurs-loving shitehawk who just happens to own the club?

Can people please stop calling it a joke of a club when it's a perfectly good club that just happens to be owned by a complete knob-job?

You won't find a single Toon fan that wanted rid of Hughton.

However, the suspicion that Ashley has been lining someone up for months has lingered and the announcement at Ajax simply cannot be coincidental.

After several months of things finally going well, this has to happen.

A black day, not a black and white day.

Good luck for the future Chris. Oh, and ignore the gobshite coming from Redknapp about how badly you've been treated when Spurs were an utter disgrace with their surreptitious rumours about your training while at the Lane.

Quite shocking that its taken this long for a Premiership Manager to get the bullet. When did the League start? August? 3 1/2 months without a change must be a record.

Disgraceful. Ashley hasn't got a clue and although I don't wish for it to happen I can quite easily see Newcastle going down now.

I aint understanding all this love for Hughton and many from non Toon fans.

Now we all know Toon fans are wanted in the brains department but how anyone can say the guy is doing a great job is beyond me.Yes he won the fizzy pop league but did anyone expect them not to challenge in a league that is full of very poor teams and what has he done so far this season to warrant keeping his job?A win against Arsenal when the arse could have won 5-1 on another day and a win against Sunderland!

Ashley has done the correct thing (again)and I wouldn't think the fans will still be greeting should Jol appear on the scene.

The only part of this I am amazed at is I have only heard 2 slackjaw Geordies calling for the return of the messiah brothers Shearer and Keegan. :D

Jog on dodger, Hughton had brought some kind of stability that we had not had with ashley and we were mid table in the prem so happy enough. The players like him too which helps and wanted to play for him with the lack of money available he has done a good job.
If you think we belong with the likes of ipswich and the like I suggest you stick your opinions to that rubbish that you call football in Scotland

Alan Pardew is going to be appointed at NUFC within 24 hours BBC believe.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/newcastle_united/9267960.stm

here is an interesting quote from the article

It is believed Pardew became close friends with Newcastle owner Mike Ashley and director Derek Llambias when all three were familiar faces at an exclusive London casino where Llambias was managing director.

Sure the Geordies are really going to take to him, I cannot see him being there for long.

Frankly, until they've appointed someone, I'm clinging to the hope that it might not be him. Too often with manager posts some idiot somewhere starts a rumour and it takes off, ably abetted by the club with insinuated denials.

It does concern me however that he is currently at worst 10/1 on to get the job.

All I'll say is if he does get the job, then Ashley and Llambias (casino buddies it transpires) should never turn up in Newcastle again without armed guards.

From a position of incredulity i.e. smashing the Championship and cruising in the PL after beating Arsenal, Everton and Chelsea (CC) away, this appointment, were it to occur, would have me genuinely fearing for our survival this season.

Mind you, if Pards gets as friendly with a bird of Carroll's as has been alleged at previous employ, then I wouldn't fancy his chances of being in the job for long anyway!

Could be Ray Wilkins for the job bookies cutting his odds,to be honest a disgrace sacking Houghton ,maybe not a big enough name for the Fat Controller who's brought more shame to the club.
