So I made a chicken broth in the slow cooker yesterday. Tasted nice but the parsnips tended to over power the other tastes.

Is this normal with parsnips? What could I put in instead for next time :P

Chicken Oxo a well known Rooster Booster
Season with salt & pepper
Maybe 1/2 the quantity of parsnip, save the rest for the Sunday roast.

?‍? ?

Baby Yoda liked his broth in the latest "Mandalorian" ….. OK so you need to have seen it to understand it!

You needn't make chicken broth. Excellent chicken broth is available in 32 oz. cans.

Shred up a pre-made rotisseried chicken or two, toss in some escarole, sliced carrots, hard boiled egg slices, and some pastina,
and voila, chicken soup! Delicious.

Although, given the times, you may just be looking for things to do. That would be understandable.

Parsnip is devil food, what's wrong with putting in rice or lentils?

How about the simple answer? Just leave the parsnip out.

(I have never, ever ,ever considered putting parsnip into a chicken soup. I mean, why would you?)
