Theres an envelope opening ceremony at my office tomorrow we're concerned Terry is going to turn up in full kit to celebrate!

The guys is a classless moron, leave your suit on shake Lampards hand and await your turn with the trophy later. But then he has to live with knowing European footballs 2 biggest prizes have been won in successive finals thanks to some fine last ditch tackles and he wasn't playing in either game

Hopefully it'll be a good game and not spoilt by poor refereeing decisions.

If Chelsea win then the players and everybody bar Rafa will get the credit, but if they Lose Rafa gets it.

I hope for Rafa's sake they win.

3-1 Chelsea.

And rightly so, Rafa deserves a top job because he's a top coach regardless of what the media will make you.read.

He's won trophies everywhere he's been and it would be a massive step back if he took the Everton job.

Don't need the media to influence my decision on his ability; unfathomable substitutions when he does make them, failure to make substitutions when he should, failure to manage players. We should have been dead and buried at half time and we weren't much better in the second half. How anyone makes out he's a tactical genius is beyond me. We didn't win that as a result of his input as far as I am concerned.

Well done Chelsea (and not a fan).

But one comment - the one thing almost as bad as the pathetic antics players get up to today on the pitch feigning injury, diving etc is the childish and equally pathetic way fans of a club verbally abuse and treat ex-players and managers moved to another 'rival' club. The way Chelsea supporters have treated Benitez has been downright disgraceful and should embarrass all sensible, thoughtful Chelsea supporters. I would love Benitez to tell the Chelsea supporters that he thinks they are a bunch of dead-head morons in whatever language he chooses - and btw - thanks for all the money and the opportunity to improve my CV.

Agree,he never seems to make a tactical change that alters the game.forget what match it was but Chelsea were loosing, his answer was bring Benayoun on when he had much better players on the bench,Lampard for instance.

Couldn't agree more with the comments about diving and feigning injury, couldn't agree less with the comments about Benitez & Chelsea fans; he insulted both the fans and the club during his tenure at Liverpool, declaring that he'd never manage us. Then when he comes back for the money the fans are just expected to roll over and accept his comments. Sorry, not happening.

Any returning ex-players and managers who have served the club well in the past are accorded the respect they deserve, but you won't read about it in the Daily Wail, you need to be there to see it.

Does that not just show how out of touch with the fans the top brass are at your club ? if they were aware of the ins & outs of the club & wishes of the fans shouldn't they have known not to offer him the job ?... Cant stand RB & not its not because he coached Liverpool , but the treatment he got was wrong , the treatment RDM got was wrong, but that cant be blamed on the fans ,, WELL DONE on the victory last night by the way , I let out a big "YESS get in there" when ye got the winner my Mrs asked was that Everton playing , I said no Chelsea & got the strangest of looks from her as if I was mad ..

I did the same thing Bill.

I had to explain to the wife that I'd rather see the English side invloved in the tie win, regardless of who it is.

I don't think you can blame fans for showing their dislike of Rafa after the words he said about Chelsea fans specifically back when he was at Liverpool. I guess it works both ways - you may say Chelsea shouldn't have treated him badly, but if he really felt the way he did about Chelsea when he said what he said, surely he shouldn't have taken the job? It's funny how money can change how you feel about someone or something...

I agree you cant blame them , but it got out of hand , at some stage ya got go "right he's here til the end of the season we gota accept that . we wont cheer for him or sing his name but during the games we will support Chelsea to the fullest , the game is about their love for Chelsea not their dislike for rafa" & even tho I may agree with you they have a right to dislike him , to tarnish the image of the club can never be a good thing no mater the cause .. just my "outsider" opinion tho

Indeed it does. Apparently Michael Emenalo, who is supposedly our director of football was asked by Roman Abramovich if the fans would accept him, his answer was that after a couple of wins the fans would forget all about his previous comments. The treatment he has received has in my opinion been about what he deserved for his comments, and has been vastly exaggerated by the popular press but then why am I surprised at that? Couldn't agree more about the treatment that Roberto Di Matteo got, the fans' feeling was that he deserved better treatment and the opportunity to have a full season to get the best of the new signings. If he had gone to accommodate a world class coach then it may have been different. At the end of the season it would be interesting to compare their results but the obvious one that stands out is against Spurs; RDM goes to White Hart Lane & gets a 4 - 2 win, RB at home gets a 2 - 2 draw with baffling substitutions when a win was imperative. Thank you for the kind wishes; staggered in at 0330 after the return journey from hell but it was worth it, although not a patch on last year.

Terry's stripped and ready for action, Ba and Hazard are wearing a suit.

Well done Ba and Hazard for having some class!

I think you'll find that UEFA regulations require him to wear his kit if he wishes to collect the medal which he was entitled to or to lift the trophy. Don't know why Hazard remained in the suit, if indeed he did, but Ba wouldn't be in the kit as he was ineligible to play for us in the Europa League, having represented Newcastle in the group stages. So possibly not so much a matter of class as a matter of following the rules of the competition.

Ok class was perhaps the wrong word but rushing off to the changing rooms a second after Ivanovic scored is a bit weird and like he's in denial, he's won a lot over the years with Chelsea, its not like he hasn't played in plenty finals before. Hazard did remain suited which I thought was the better choice. if you're not in the team that day you're not in the team, are you? Still get your winners medal of course which would be enough for 99% of pros I would think.

ps I like Chelsea, glad they won and you had a good night.

He's the clubs team captain though and Frank was débutante for the day like many others when he (JT) is not available. As club captain he has the right IMO, if not more, to get in his kit and be part of the celebrations. Its only right IMO that the captain for the day and the club captain lift the cup together, which was always agreed prior, its not like he didn't play a part in it.

Just because it is John Terry everybody starts having a dig over what he was wearing to lift the cup:rofl:. If anybody else had done it nobody would have bothered.

Exactly, Rooney "chose" not to play the last game of Fergie's for united and was stripped for the presentation and medals, I didn't hear much about that?

Maybe Tiger and John should play Pro-AM so the haters can all get together

Spot on mate. He got some right stick over it when they won champions league. saw a interview with him & when they asked him about it he was pissing himself.

Not wrong there. I said the same when he was LFC manager and got slated regularly for it.
He's a good cup manager but no where near as good a league manager. When everyone says he got second in the premiership I see it more that he managed to lose a premiership. From having a fairly comfortable lead in January to losing the league by 4 points because of over defensive tactics resulting in far too many draws and silly loses.
