Chelsea fan. Who should I blame?

Chelsea deserve everything they get the way they've treated all their managers since mourinho.


Whoever goes there now won't get much time to turn it around. Unfortunately this is modern football.

I think Davey Moyes should get the job, he's done a fantastic job on a shoestring budget and is a great man manager and plays good attacking football.

Or Roy Hodgson should be given a chance, a nice man with 37yrs experience in football and look at the great job he done at fulham.

The first bits are true, but Moyes playing good attacking football (even most evertonians wouldn't agree with that).

Roy Hodgson, hasn't really done much in 37 years, apart from travel around europe, have 1 decent season at Inter Milan, one decent season at Fulham.

Oh aye, one decent half season at Anfield (if you support man u or everton).

Hodgson has his own style, which is pretty basic in terms of training and ideas. He's more suited to lesser sides and overachieving, rather than top sides full of egos.

Rafa Benitez would be an option, his style is suited to English football. Hard working and direct, he's also proven in the CL. The only question over him is Roman supposedly wants quality attacking football.

Well it has happened. Am I happy or am I sad. I just dont know. Part of me is seeing my club become a laughing stock because Roberto will be No 8 since Roman took over and that cant be good. But then again the Russian mob money has taken us from dire straights and very nearly park football to top of the tree for which I have to be grateful. Where do we go from here. If Roberto can get unity back them 4th is possible if he cant the aim for 7th. Stay away from itv 4 on a thursday and start building. I think this managerial circus will continue until Roman gets his hands on the European Cup as the double did not save Carlo. But I still believe his downfall was more his backing of Wilkins than failing to win the Champions League. Until that CL comes through you have more chance of winning money on Chelsea manager being 1st to go than who will be appointed.

Maybe Pep if he wants a challenge and Barca win CL this year and are then the 1st to defend if which I think is the only reason Pep is still there. Outside those Moyes. Could he be classed as top for what he has done with little money. Or is he in line to replace Fergie. I am just bemused bt the whole thing.

Then you have to ask what will Roman do when/if he does get his hands on the Champions League Trophy, I think he will walk away having achieved what he set out to do, and Chelski without Russian Money will quickly return to the lower levels where they were 10 years ago.

Listen I know most Chelsea fans are going to be up in arms if Benitez gets it. Outside of the 3 you mention and apart from Hiddink, Hitzfeld, Trapattoni, Benitez could be the man to get you the Champions league.

I know he wasn't great in the league for us, although went close with a 2nd place at which point he should have been backed with money from the yanks, who pulled the plug on him instead.

In Europe - he was fantastic, 2 finals as well as away wins at Real Madrid, Inter Milan, and Barcelona (yes, the so-called unbeatable Barcelona) all in an 18 month spell.

If you cherish Europe so much, he could be the man, also given Roman will throw £200 million at him to achieve it. I would concentrate more on getting back to the top of the tree in England in the meantime though, Chelsea fans over the last 8 years have gained some expensive tastes. In the 80's I always felt that Chelsea had the best/loudest/loyalest fans in London, but not anymore. A bit of humility or lack of success may get rid of the richer,/plassy flag waving beauts that you have taken on board over the last 8 years. It might bring your ticket prices down also, which are frankly shocking.

And I think every Chelsea fan should be worried. Love him or loathe him the Frenchman on Morphs side of the Thames has made the Arsenal on very stable foundations, hence why the board are allowing him to still be there me thinks.

He. Was good enough for Liverpool when they got rid of their best manager in 20yrs so surely he's good enough for this lot.
