This is now getting to be a nasty habbit on a Saturday afternoon. Posting on here about another failure by my team. I know a team does not have any given right to win a match but surely they should score against WBA and should win. The manager has very little imput once the game starts but there must be a big problem in the dressing room.

I don't think AVB is all that he's made out to be. Pretty much just had one good season in Portugal so it was a big gamble bringing him to Chelsea with so many big personalities.

On the plus side, Watford won from 2-0 down!!!!

Worrying times for you, they are in freefall at the moment.
Don't be so hard on yourself.....let's face it you could be a Rangers fan.

Rumours sweeping Scotland that they may actually go out of business by the end of next week and they are going to be hit with a 60 point deduction due to the third party contract fiasco..my heart bleeds.(see what I did there?!):whoo:

But with the lack of money in Scotland if Rangers go belly up that will have a big effect on the Scottish game and would it survive.

Firstly blame Abromovich, too much money very little sense.
Hes trying to buy success.
Until he gets stability in a manager Chelsea will struggle.
I dont think you can blame the manager because he is obviously out
of his depth.
The players have to carry the can,i was always told when i played
to get the better of the player your up against,if you did that as a team
you would have a chance.
Some of the Chelsea players are coming to the end of there careers, they clearly
will have to rebuild,it can and probably will take years.

One and a bit seasons of sucess in Portugal does not a Good Manager make!

Being Manager of Porto virtually guarantees that you're going to win something - there's only 2 maybe 3 teams in with a shout of anything.

I think it was a bad move canning Carlo.

Much the same as England then?:mmm:

They have never been the same since Nov 10 when Roman got rid of Wilkins after what was obviously a bust up between the 2 of them. Carlo has always said it had nothing to do with him.

Up to a point Yes
But Spurs are up there as are Newcastle.
And we often get other teams winning the FA Cup - over there it's either Porto or Benfica...........

And being Manager of a top team over here for a year doesn't make you good either........

I honestly hope that Rangers do go. Let's face it, the game in Scotland is sheite anyway, so it may just be the catalyst needed for a total overhaul.

Never nice to see any team go under. I wish Rangers all the best.

As for Chelsea - the bubble had to burst at some point. No youth players blooded and far too reliant on older players.

Come and support the Palace - we won again today... ;)

Get shot of Lampard, Terry, Torres & Drogba...............only then will AVB be in charge of the team & be able to command some respect. Oh, and get Josh Mceachran back from loan.

Slime.

The majority of the blame has to sit with Abramovich, but it's clear that AVB doesn't have the team pulling in the same direction. Sacking Carlo was a massive gamble, and I really think it's going to take some time before Chelsea start being title contenders. The squad is far too weak with too many players close to finished. The fact that there don't appear to be many players coming through the youth set-up isn't gonna help either. Money can buy you players and countless managers, but it can't buy the gel that is needed to get them working as a team!

i personally think AVB is a good manager, he inherited a squad well past it's sell by date. all the has been's have too much power imo, big time clearance required!!

Too many players with way to big an ego, that throw their toys out the pram if they don't have thing their own way.

I feel for AVB as he is consistently questioned for everything he does. HE was employed to do the MANAGERS job, not for everybody else to make him do what they want.

Yep, I'd go with that. Lampard, terry, etc, have had their day. Get rid, and get the rest behind the manager, who ever it is, and avb is as good as any.

Chelsea just aren't that good anymore, too many players past their best. AVB isn't upto much either and theres no way Roman will back him after what he's seen so far. I wouldn't back someone like AVB who makes excuses with £1, let alone the £100m Chelsea need.
