Tiger Woods trying to put his past indisgressions behind him, and so what are witnessed to?

Yes, him walking round with "smacked-bottom" face (as per usual) and topping it all of by spitting (yes SPITTING) on the green after missing a long par putt

Just hope they throw the book at him - or perhaps another 7 iron...

Also on the very same hole as the spitting incident, back on the tee after hitting a poor drive he smashed his driver into the ground quite clearly damaging the surface of the teeing area.

The man is out of control and needs sorting out big time :(

I've spoken about this severasl times, I'm a massive Tiger fan, always have been but he stretches my patience sometimes with his self destructive tendencies. He needs to get a serious grip, the guy has mental issues he has to address. He knows he is in the camera's lens every shot he makes and spitting and cursing just turns people away from him.

I'm not sure what shocked me more. Seeing the spoiled brat gozz on the green or finally hearing a commentator berate him for his behaviour.

I think that's the first time I've heard Murray actually have a proper go at him. Admittedly about 10 years too late, but at least someone finally said 'bad show'.

Oh, but I think Erin might disagree with 'that's as low as it gets' :)

I was watching behind time on sky, and posted before I saw him spit all over the green too....the guy is seriously dislikable.

For that - the referee should walk over and throw him out of the tournament, simple as that, it's disgusting, and TOTALLY unacceptable.
I don't care how much money surrounds him in every respect, the game should not put up with that kind of incident.

Do we want to end up like football ???

*shakes head.....*

wonder if the tiger fans who slagged sergio off

will just say oh well it was just on the green

any wonder tiger acts how he does & has in the past

thinks he's bigger than the game

get $3m just to turn up

when ANY player acts up, punish them where it hurts not some poxy ammount of $ that means nothing ban them from a major or two

only way they'll learn

edit@ just tweeted to TW not he'll pay any attention or read

@TigerWoods sorry to say( yes ur a fantastic golfer) but behaving like you did today is disgusting u'll get a paltry fine id ban you from a major or 2 only way youre really gonna learn

Disgusting, almost turned off the golf, but then Quiros got his hole in one. What a great character he is. Also Lee Westwood signing all the autographs after a bad finish, and a proper signature not a squiggle. Proper gentleman, not a spoilt brat like Woods.

I'm a massive fan of Tiger Woods the golfer but some of his antics are impossible to defend. I've said before that I don't care what he does off the course and his indiscretions of the past don't concern me in the slightest.

What he seems to fail to understand is that he is still the biggest draw in golf. I'm fairly sure he isn't the only golfer to ever spit on a golf course or even a green and he certainly isn't the only player to slam his club into the ground or throw it after a bad shot. However, he must know now more than ever that everything he does is going to be shown on live TV. even when he's slapping it about like one of us the TV companies will show it.

I've never been one for taking a liking or disliking to sportsmen I don't know but right now Tiger is coming across as petulant. I would have liked to think, after all his self inflicted problems, that he would be more gracious in his demeanour but it isn't to be. Sure he's desperate to win but then so is everyone else but sitting here watching him leave the course surrounded by body guards ignoring the crowd is just self indulgent and selfish. Does he honestly think walking through the crowd requires body guards.

He's been blessed with a special special talent but right at this moment it's one he doesn't deserve.

As much as Tiger is a Legend in the game for his ability with a club in his hand, he is far from a role model with his attitude and previous off the course antics.

Id still watch him on TV but he's no shining star is he....

He could learn a lot from the likes of Lee Westwood - who despite obvious disappointment still look time to sign countless autographs at the end of his round today - or more so Padraig Harington, who despite being DQ'd in a previous event still stuck around to run a workshop for keen golfers.

Question is, do the European Tour have the balls to sanction Woods for this latest insavoury incident?

Disgusting!!

I still don't understand why golfers need to spit.

I've done it on the course once - after I'd taken a shot in a bunker and, for some reason ( :D), left my mouth open and got a gob full of sand!!

Why do golfers feel the need to spit??

can't see why any golfer needs to spit apart from the sand issue AB mentions... he's becoming a bit of a knob these last few years....

I spit on the course,I do it to clear my sinuses which I have problems with,it's either that or recycle it in down my throat but I would never think of grogging on a green or a tee as I can produce some pretty Tiger like grog sizes!
