Changing your own tee time /group

I have never seen him shoot handicap or better when outside his group. He shot 38 points off a 3/4 handicap yesterday in typhoon conditions!!! Not impossible i know but its a shame how it was predicted by most of us

So if he's been announced the winner, did you not raise a concern/complaint before the competition was closed?

Is a belated DQ still possible if it's deemed he should not have moved tee time without permission?

The comp was all day and i was out first. i have raised the query with the handicap secretary today by email. but he isn't back in until tomorrow.

I couldn't raise it yesterday as the cards were handed in to minions and the sec was on a day off

Even more reason to raise it with the comp secretary.

Drawn comps have to be played as drawn in our section, not sure what happens in the mens.

Well, he is either more relaxed playing golf with his mates, or maybe the C word needs to be mentioned. Incidentally, if he was drawn to tee off at 08.00, but actually did so at 08.15 without the approval of the committee, he should be DQ'd for being more than 5 minutes late!

Unless the "comp committee" says that it was ok for the player to move.

But if they say that without him actually gaining permission at the time the whole situation sets a president for everyone to do what they want in the future, it's either a drawn competition or not, period IMO.

As BIM said earlier - Pro shops have the flexibility to move people around if it helps the pace of play and keeps groups level

we have a couple of drawn comps but if gaps appear then the pro shop are able to move people around if they so wish. Just being flexible.

I am very bitter about what has happened as this group was behind the reason that board comp are to be drawn. I would like to take it further if it doesn't get resolved but half of me doesn't want to land the new comp sec in hot water. I'll keep you posted on the outcome

I guess he could claim that as his mates were just 2 ball and would be going out behind a 3 ball, that it made sense to have a 2 ball go out first.

Or the two ball could have been called through once the 3 ball tee'd.

This sounds like it will end up with nothing happening to maintain the status quo. Ones the precedence has been set then the committee will have no comeback when it happens again.

Inactivity always leads to problems in the future.
