im in the process of changing mine.......... so far one out!! Im convinced the shoe manufacturers keep changing the design of Tri-lock, Fast lock, tour lock , shove it up your arse lock just so we'll buy new shoes!!!!
Im buying new shoes.

Well! Goody two shoes here has never had any bother. I've worn Footjoys for years. Clean them after every round. I always inspect the cleats, and change them when necessary.
Admittedly some of the little devils can be tough to remove, but the secret is to clean the recess when the cleat is out. I use compressed air. Compared to the old screw in studs, these are wonderful.
Yes, the wear rate increases dramatically if you insist on walking on concrete. or tarmac. Change them regularly is the way forward.

I use pro stinger spikes in the winter when there is ice on the ground. I've never had any real issues changing them, but one thing I would recommend is a decent spike wrench.
