Celebs who’ve passed

Kathryn Apanowicz. Not a familiar name, perhaps, but was Richard Whitely's partner, and had been in Bugsy Malone, Angels and Eastenders
 
Joey Mollard- the last remaining member of Badfinger. Only really knew about them from Breaking Bad but a sad story of a talented band blighted with financial issues and suicides.
 
Brian James, original guitarist with The Damned has gone.

Johnny Green, the Clash's road manager also passed away this week. His book A Riot Of Our Own is probably the best book written about the band. As did David Johansen from the New York Dolls.

Sad times for us old punks.

And David Johansen of the New York Dolls passed away on Feb 28th.
 
All the groups / pop stars / actors who were big in the 70's and 80's are now getting really creaky and starting to fall off their perches.

over the last 5 years there have been huge numbers of stars from my youth departing, and the next 5 years will be the same.

In the next couple of months I am seeing Francis Rossi (75)
Blue Oyster Cult, Lead Guitarist (77) / Lead singer (80)
and in October Miriam Margoles (84 by then)

Go see while you can is my motto, although im not going, iam not expecting too much from Ozzy at the final gig at Villa Park, he will need to be as high as a kite and nailed to something to keep him upright

Fish is 67 and just done the farewell tour. Voice was on point but he was clearly struggling physically (dodgy knees etc) so glad he went out with a fantastic band, fantastically well received reviews and brilliant gigs. Wouldn't want him to become "currently residing in the where are they now file - A toupee on the cabaret scene". I agree that a lot of famous faces will be going soon. Get there if you can

Yes, afraid that it's true. Amazing drummer who I have seen play several times. Also worked hard on drumming science and the mental health benefits..
Played with some big names apart from Blondie and will be sadly missed by the millions of fans who, like me, have listened to his drums since I was a teenager in the late 70's.
