Now I don't really watch this but I do watch the opening episode to see who the celebs are. Last night all I kept saying to swmbo was "who's that? have you heard of them? unbelievable!"
I found it overall quite sad to see what these people will do and how they are behaving now just to get some 'attention'.

The American couple are apparently mega famous in the states due to reality TV, what a sad pathetic life even though they are rich through it I think they are actually poor in all the important aspects of life. :(

I made my Mrs turn it off when the bloke off the x factor appeared. I'm not gayist or nothing but he makes me feel a bit ill!!!

It just has no redeeming qualities at all. I will be doing everything in my power to not see a single second of it.

Have people got so much time to spare that they can spend hours watching Z-list "celebs" making fools of themsleves and shouting at each other?
At least the Forum is semi-constructive......

Celebrity is an over used word these days...

All my favourite quiz programs seemingly go all celebrity at chrissy...
Doubt if I actually knew who half of these 'celebrities' were...

Perhaps, I need to get out more :(...

Are they no MENS programs on TV anymore? if it isnt dancing on ice/ballroom, soaps, or cookery or a program with celebrities in the title then there is nothing left. Celebrity big brother....YAWN.

Found ourselves watching the opening episode as there was nothing much else on and I was intrigued to see if Jim Davidson was going to still appear but he was replaced with Razor.

Shame he was taken off when he is still technically not guilty of anything and strenuously denies the allegation/s.

Anyway, the basement is what all of them only deserve, washed up soap & pop stars and a couple of ageing old sportsmen, not sure what category to put Rylan into?

Seeing Jim Davidson meeting that Brian Dowling after their fracas on Hells Kitchen would have been interesting

Can you credit the way the Police arrested Jim Davison as he came through Heathrow Airport!! Did they really need to do that, you would have though an invitation to visit the station would have been suitable. Then they show pictures of people in white overalls carrying out plastic bags of 'Evidence'. What kind of evidence could possible be in his house after 25 years, some DNA on an old Kipper tie? Not only that he has been married around five times in that period and has left a house to each of his wives so what could be in the current one. You couldn't make it up

In one of his interviews last year Sir Bradley Wiggins commented how he was happy to be famous for having achieved something when so mush of modern culture is fame for no reason (or words to that effect). BB really epitomises this. Tabloid telly at its worst.

Have to say the opening episode of this latest edition of BB was the first and last I'll ever watch. Was subjected to it as I was round my lady friends house and she was watching it, soon as I saw who half of them were and thought who the hell are they I decided it was time to go home!

I don't tend to watch much mainstream TV so couldn't tell you who is in what soap or what a Rylan is but he looks a right attention seeking perfect example of what people think they have to be now to be popular. The only people I actually recognised were Gillian Taylforth - famous for that Land Rover front seat incident (oh and being in a naff soap) Neil Ruddock & Frankie Dettori.

Whatever happened to quality programming and TV employing scriptwriters to bring good entertainment to our screens, I grew up on things like Londons Burning, The Bill, The A-Team and other actual programmes. Now TV is just pile of garbage and unless its a soap or has some nobody prancing around with the word Celeb in the title it isn't deemed as TV worthy. Don't even get me started on that TOWIE crap.

Can't wait for the return of some of the US shows like Arrow, Boardwalk Empire and Game of Thrones to make TV entertaining again. Until then I'll stick to sky sports.

:sbox:

I'm waiting for all the re-runs of Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet , Stingray and Joe 90
Following the death of Gerry Anderson

Proper blokes TV :)

Digitally re-mastered original Star Trek amd Hawaii Five-0 starting on one of the digi channels next week - CBS Action I think....
