Started off 16.8 on Saturday and went to 15.8 Sunday back up to 16.4 today.

Don’t ask how they work it out ?

I know how they work it out :ROFLMAO:

You started on 16.8, played well shot 38 points and had a cut to 15.8.

Played badly off 15.8 (25 points) and it went up again to 16.4

Handicaps are volitile until you have around 15/20 scores in, then it should steady somewhat if your scoring is consistent.

no you’ve got it twisted.

When I say scored I meant my gross score. The first 5 holes are the easiest for me. I didn’t have a clue what my stableford points were until my PP’s told me at the end of the front 9 and back 9.

And I picked up on par 3 hole 16 on Saturday

I’ll leave these facts here just for you ?

And fyi my playing partner made a mistake in adding up somewhere. Computer doesn’t lie and gave me 37.

Hope that helps

Well, if I've got you wrong I apologise.

Not long ago you were talking about consistently going around in the mid 80s. Now, you're claiming not to even know that you're not allowed to just hit the first ball you find, that your handicap came from social rounds with friends where you didn't hole out, and that your playing partners are telling you that you must hole out, even when it's for 8 on a par 3 in a Stableford?!?!
Put all together, none of it adds up.
But, as I said, if I've got you wrong, and you're not actually a troll, I apologise...maybe you're just weird!? ;)

But he was shooting mid 80’s without holing out.

Yeah I don’t really pay attention if I’m honest. I’m more concerned about missing 2ft birdies than stableford points and handicap right now lol.

Then id suggest Medals/ stroke play are the game for you - not stableford!

Where did you lose your shots in the round?

Those scores really don’t count towards any card handed in then it seems. And I now find myself quite embarrassed when holing out.

putting mainly.

Short game / scrambling has improved but inconsistent. I’m still trying to figure out what clubs to pick out the bag from 100 yards in.

Practise practise practise!

Maybe simplify 100 in and just use 2 clubs. Personally my 52 full is around 110 so id just smooth one in. Anything shorter than 70 yards is my 56! 60 only used when really necessary.

Well, I've done my detective work and now know his name and club. I won't be divulging this - I've had an infraction for similar in the past - but, suffice to say, his competition record doesn't show many excursions into the 80s. However, he is a real person.

Any full swing within 100 yards and it’s in my head I will hit it thin shooting right off the back. Trying to do half swings with my PW or 8i now.

I played as a nomad for pretty much 6 months pal. Scores into the 80’s can be verified by any of my mates likewise anything I have mentioned on here. I ain’t no blagger.

Thanks anyway Sherlock.

In the post in which he posted the photo of the card, he said that round was from yesterday. Are you sure it represents the round he was talking about previously?

And he's already said in post 142 - "Played with John Findlay and the Craw again at the weekend. Castle Stuart was looking absolutely beautiful". This whole thing is total cow excrement.

It'll come, just stick with it. PW should be easier at sticking the green than the 8I!

Its harder scoring 80's in a comp than casual play with mates to be fair. People will believe it when you do it under competition conditions.
