If it's not one thing, it's another. Paul Casey has injured his shoulder while snowboarding and will miss the first 2 months of the season. I wonder if it'll cost him his place on the Ryder Cup team?

I should think he will be a bit less vigorous now.
Each year there is a Tour golfer who crocks themselves whilst playing another sport or doing an activity
and it messes up their season, Didnt Colsearts fall off a scooter and do his elbow in and also I remember Adam Scott did his knee whilst surfing a couple of years back. there are plenty of others Also Mr T Woods walking into a 9 iron
These professional sportsmen really should take more care of themselves

Why shouldn't he snowboard - boarding and skiing are one of the best most exhilarating things you can do, life is short, are people saying he should avoid all other sports until he's retired?

To be honest two months isn't a huge dent out of the schedule. Not a lot of big money events at the start of the year and so plenty of time for rehab and to earn enough RC points. Personally I don't think he'll qualify and they'll be a lot vying for the picks and I think younger talent will get picked

I seem to remember reading once that Faldo would never even lift his own golf bag in case of injury. Which made it all the more amazing when he donned a comedy wig and caddied for Huey Lewis at the 1996 Celebrity Shootout.

Well Faldo did day last night that he often went on family ski-ing hols but never skied himself as the risk of injury just wasn't worth it. Professional footballers would never be allowed to do these things as their job depends upon being fit.
He has plenty time when he reaches 40 to do all these things with the mega millions he's earned being a mega mediocre top 50 player!!! However, he is clearly of the attitude that winning big tournaments isn't as important which is why Faldo is a greater success than he'll ever be.
