Then what? Good grief. We didn't know, it was a medal. So consensus was mark as 0 and let the computer sort it. Well the computer said nnnnneeerrr and didn't count the hole and a net score was recorded. Might win actually. Lol. But what should be done?

You just put a blob, nr, slash whatever in the box on the scorecard.

On the computer the hole should be entered as "not completed", or "NR" depending on what options the local score entry system gives you (but not "Not Played").

Even if you "blob" a medal hole early on and are out of the comp, you should endeavour to post as good a score as possible over the remaining holes as your score would still be valid (assuming there are no other transgressions) for handicapping purposes. Your missing hole would be treated as nett double bogey for handicapping purposes.

You record an NR for that hole. Other 17 holes' scores should all be recorded correctly still as the round will still be counted for handicap, even though he is out of the competition.
