Hmmm didn't know about that mate, the missus kinda has Sunday night tv viewing locked down but if it's on the laptop...

*scratches chin*

£100 - you get 14 regular season games per week streamed live, and the other two (that are shown live on Sky on Sundays) are available on demand the following day. Plus you get 24/7 NFL Network streaming
Can watch up to 4 games at a time live via your laptop (if it will take it!) and access until the end of the regular season. Or you can pay £150 and get access until July 31st next year and get additional stuff like archived play off games and the Super Bowl.

Oh and they’re all HD quality too. If you’re any kind of NFL fan, it’s worth every penny.

And if you have an iPad the iPad app is ridiculously good as well (and included in the price).

Slightly different but this is what I was going to do with the MLB TV subscription service if BT Sport/ESPN didn't return to Virgin services. As we have multi room so I can watch it regardless of what HID's watching I can watch it upstairs or stay downstairs and watch it.

Though at something like £40 I may get it anyway so I can watch games the next day at a reasonable hour and download them onto tablet so can watch on breaks at work... Hmmmmmm..... Where's my credit card!

A mate of mine who’s a huge MLB fan does this and at £40 you really can’t go wrong for the amount of games that are played!

I like Baseball, but only casually – mostly because I’m a Mariners fan :D

I was in Seattle to witness a tasty 19 inning game against Boston in 2000 though, which although went on for what seemed like forever, was a great game. But mostly, I go for the beer and peanuts.

Oops £40 just left my bank for the MLB TV Subs!... Good news is same price next year and aut renews so I get all the pre-seaon games next year to!... I have yet to cross the pond to watch a game but HID wants to go to New York next spring so hoping to get to a game at Yankees stadium or a METS Game. We're also off to a family wedding (her family) in Boston next June so hopefully I can get along to Fenway Park as well as her uncle whose wedding it is goes to all the home games there.

Fader, I've got tickets for both Mets games & Cubs games, dead easy, go onto the respective team's website, book them, pay for them & then print them at home. Only downside is you don't a traditional type ticket as a souvenir. Just don't forget to take them with you......:D

Just read the first thread, turned on the tele and all the channels are in place and to boot, wor lass got the email that my broadband has been upgraded to 120mg.

Ran a speed test and even with a VPN into the office running a few apps via citrix, I've still pulled 93mg DL and 10mg UL

Happy days.

Jealous much! When you going?

That's what I plan to do on our trip to New York buy the tickets online before we go would like to go to both a Yankees and METS game but don't think HID will let me do both! So will see who has homefield on the dates we go and get the corresponding tickets. I already know when the Boston trip is and HIDs uncle has said the Red Sox game will be on him so that will be good and his seats are near the bull pen so will be right on the action.

Ideally i'd persuade HID to let me spend my cash on a trip to Washington to watch the Nationals play but its not gonna happen!...

Be good to hear how you find it out there watching the games. Are going to Citi Field and Wrigley Field respectively for the games if so much respect.

Been and gone mate, it was got as in past tense, didn't make that too clear, sorry. Mets was at Citi Field in 2009, Cubs were a few weeks ago when they shut out the Cards :D

I really enjoyed it, but I got the impression that quite a few in the crowd were at some sort of a social gathering were baseball was the background music, if that makes sense. Many more of those than I see at a Premier League game. That was much more so at Citi Field than Wrigley. Didn't spoil my enjoyment but I did wonder why some people chose to pay that much to sit & have a social chat  At Wrigley we were sat next to an older gent who actually kept the scorecard and was more than happy to answer my questions about the game, although I doubt from your level of interest you'd need that, and we visited Murphy's before the game, which is where the bleacher crowd "warm up". Recommended if you get to Wrigley. Unbelieveably nearly got a game ball as well; two balls got fouled off into the next block and not that far away, didn't ever dream we'd get close to a ball being in an upper deck and behind home plate.

For your New York games I'd recommend you use this site (if you haven't found it already) to help choose your seats;

I used it before visiting Wrigley Field, was in row 6 block 426 and couldn't have been happier for what we paid, and found the information there really accurate.

I envy you the bullpen seats at Fenway, the Minister for Home Affairs would never allow that much money to be spent on rounders, as she terms it.

The one thing that I didn't find was a T-shirt that I saw at Chicago Airport on the way home. Vertically aligned left of centre in descending order were logos for the Cubs, the White Sox and the Cards. Level with each badge across the shirt in descending order were the legends The Good, The Bad, The Ugly. That did make me smile.

Sorry didn't realise it was past tense my bad!

Yeah I'm a bit of an MLB junkee, tonight alone watched the Yankees try to come back against the Angels and now watching the Nationals control a game against the Giants. HID says I should give up golf and just play Baseball the way my golf is right now she's probably right!

Thanks for the link I hadn't actually come across that one and some seriously good price seats and details of where to and not to sit. Will have a good look at that when we book our NY trip. I can't wait for the bull pen seats tbh but if it were me paying the home secretary would be reigning in my purse strings!

Sounds like you had good experiences both times in different way so will look forward to my own ones.

Glad the link was useful. Yes, thoroughly enjoyed both experiences and wouldn't hesitate to do it again if we visit the USA again, let us know how you find it when you go.

Checked my V-box, BT Sports channels are there in SD and HD, and ESPN is back in SD and HD, good job Virgin. :) Lost the ESPN fringe channels but I'll live with that for the BT Sports.

That sounds really sweet, can "replay" all the weeks games as well a bit like Catch Up tv on Virgin?
Looking forward to the college bowl season in December again, always good fun that. Come on the Seminoles
