Damn you beat me to it!

It's already gone live on some people boxes on channels 547-550.

Am not bothered about the BT Sports Channels, but more than Happy at the return of ESPN as I can now watch the MLB again without having to get a seperate subscription.

I only pay £67 for 60mb broadband, TiVo and XL TV with telephone (and free 08 numbers)

Very happy to see this news .... and both channels are available on the iOS app too, so I can watch them anytime :)

I phoned up last night as disgruntled customer and got a new deal £35 less per month than I was paying for the same package I had before! And they've just added bt sport back in to replace ESPN etc so even better.

Well worth ringing up if you get the time.

It doesn't replace it, its as well as. ESPN comes as standard with the BT SPorts so more for your money

I meant more the matches on ESPN are on BT sport so replaced that way. I like ESPN too, I watch plenty of stuff on the America channel like you it seems.

Great deal all round for Virgin customers now :D

Yeah I heard this too. I wonder if BT can be the ones to give Sky a run for their money?. Some of the other efforts have been dreadful. Setanta was a the biggest tv joke ive ever seen :D
 
ESPN only got into it because they bought the Setanta rights, and then the following year they lost 1/3 of the matches, so were never going to compete. Problem with the football is sky just bid crazy money .... only real reason that others have some matches is because the rules stating that sky can't own all the matches.

Setanta was fine when they had the pga golf :)

I'd be very surprised if the NFL coverage was ever bought by someone other than Sky. You might get MNF but the remainder will stay on Sky.

Gamepass is what you need for NFL games anyway - the best £100 I spend every year!
 
Does anyone know if ice hockey will be on Bt sport, as I know ESPN lost the NHL but some other company bought the rights but don't seem to have done anything with them

I miss my Toronto Maple Leafs :angry:

Hmmm didn't know about that mate, the missus kinda has Sunday night tv viewing locked down but if it's on the laptop...
