I just changed mine for first time, after about 4 months. Used it a lot in this time. Just wondering how long others get?
I had expected to get a bit longer

That's not unusual. Ebay is the place to go for CR2 batteries. I get 16 at a time and sell them on to other users (and of Nikon 350Gs) for £3 a pair which earns me a couple of pints for the trouble.

Buying them from Pro shops is expensive!

Mine ran out after about 5 monhs, got one from Tesco but as others have said, ebay is your friend. I bought a dozen!

Probably changed it 4 times in 2 1/2 years. The annoying thing is there's no indication it's gonna die, it just stops so I always carry a spare.

Ya I got a fright first, thought something had broken. Would be better with some type of indicator showing that battery is low

Mine ran out after 2 years but it was an Energizer photo lithium and I don't play as often as you guys. It just died in the 12th fairway and I panicked a bit but luckily, I had a spare.

3 or 4 months.

i always acrry a spare or two as there's no warning as to when they run out!!
The only major criticism of these units. I have seen a LoB indicator, but only for an instant and only once in about 5 or 6 changes of battery. I now carry a spare and use its ability to pick up the pin, rather than bushes behind it, on 1 particular hole, as my guide that the battery needs changing.

I can live with them not being (completely) waterproof. Rainproof is all I need.

3 to 4 months I guess.

I buy them from RS, and get work to pay for them!

The cheek! (checks if work needs anything from RS)

I changed my nikon 350 one after having it for about 8 months. Got it second hand and the guy said he had not changed the battery. I played about 3 times a week with it all last summer but didnt use it until earlier this year when it died after hardly any use. Probably should have taken the battery out lol.
