Just traded up from the RAC OS to the Burner 09 irons - all i can say is WOW.

I know a work man shouldn't blame his tools but for someone who shoots in the 90's these are a quantum leap forward.

Just wondering now if i should have gone for the 2.0?

Why not go the whole hog and get the R11s,,

I have just purchased 4-PW in the R11s,and I have to say best purchase for a long time.

the Burner irons are 'big', almost hybrid, and I'm not surprised that you find them more powerful than the RAC OS.

other than that it's horses for courses - I really enjoyed the RAC LT, and currently wouldn't swap my R9TPs for anything I have seen. the crux of the issue is matching the shaft to your swing.

I tried one AGES ago and I agree! WOW! I put my money into lessons instead but until I got my swing sorted and got my MP57s I had never hit a ball like it. I do find the 57s are the best clubs I have ever hit (bar some mizuno mp 60 somethings belonging to my old clubs assistant pro)

best is always interesting - I still have my Wilson Staff Fluid Feel forged muscle backs from the 80's, inc a 2 iron. on the rare occassion that I hit that club well it has no peer; blows my Ping Eye II 1 iron away.... but then aain I don't carry either now...

no real difference between the 09's and the 2.0s bar the shafts fitted, iirc the 09 have mid luanch shafts as stock and the 2.0s a flighted shafts. the offset values start and finish at the same point but they get there a little differently other than that its just cosmetic. im using the 09 burners atm and im playing off 7 the long irons are ridiculously easy to hit. generally the 3 iron is hitting out to around 220 and im not exactly built. Cant face sacrificing that right now though i am considering switching the lower end stuff for more accuracy if finances will allow

43* pw.....

That is no pw. It's nearer to an 8 iron, but I could accept it as a 9. Pw? No way! Daft. How many gap wedges are you going to need to buy? And the 3i is a 1, the 4 is a two, etc. so you buy a set of irons, can't play the 3, 4, or 5, and then need to buy 4 more wedges. Bargain.

They will be long though. For sure.

yeah they burners both 09 and 2.0 are uprated, as such a bruenr 3 iron is the same loft and length as a normal 2 iron and so on
