A work colleague has just bought a load of brush tees from ebay.
I obviously inspected them in the hope he may let me have a set very cheaply of FOC!!!
They do look quite tidy in their little self contained package but I wondered if they are as good as he made them out to be.
I have to confess I have never used them, preferring my wooden tees even if they do break frequently!

Anybody used or use them and what opinions do you have of them?

Funnily enough I have been trying these over the last few rounds.

I like them, I think that they are overpriced for what they do but they are completely idiot-proof in that they enable the ball to be tee'd up at exactly the right height for me.

I am going to continue using them for my driver to be honest as they work for me even though they look ghastly!

They are pretty good but they seem to travel miles once you tee off with them and because they are not as cheap as the wood ones you seem to spend more time looking for them.

I (in a moment of weakness) tried them and to be honest they're very expensive for what they actually are and break much easier than expected.

Can't see much wrong with a good old fashioned wooden tee to be honest.

It's wood for me, long white wood.

Mate of mine with a chronic slice is using brush tees at the moment, and he thinks they straighten him out a bit. I think he just tees it a bit higher and flattens his swing plane, but each to their own thoughts on that one.

when I used them for a period I noticed that the bristles came displaced/out of shape fairly quickly. I don't no whether its just me that this has happened to, but to be honest I couldn't see the difference anyway so will stick to normal tees.

Try tying two or three together

No, No, No...don't go down that road, next it'll be playing Penfold balls, ball picker-upper on end of putter and sponge ball cleaner thing hanging off your bag. Tres uncool!

Just accept that losing a tee is better than tying them together, I played an Open at Alford with an old boy who did that, can't explain why but it just looked and felt all wrong somehow!

Got a fellow golfer on Saturdays puts coloured tape around them, so he can find them more easily. All sounds a bit pikey to me.

A friend of mine uses the grey stepped tees. I spend my life looking for these. They go a surprising distance, and are all but invisible.

Guess what I'll be looking for this afternoon.

I had a go with the plastic crown tees in the hope that they would last more than one hole but still managed to snap the top off on most drives. Have gone back to good old wooden tees.

White tee's on green grass, easy to see. I played a full 18 the other day with out breaking or loosing the same one.

Not sure if that's a good thing Tony, a snapped tee is the sign of a well struck shot!

Im firmly in the wooden 2 3/4 or 3 inch tee side, If they break, they break but "brush" tees, tees made of brush? (Peter Kay mood today). I just cant get my head round how they would be any easier to hit over a thinner sliver of wood or plastic pressed into the ground and waggled a tiny bit to help the tee come back out without breaking..
