I must admit I find this post a small bit ironic , in the first line you stateThat's not cheating as you have agreed to 'not play the Rules of Golf'. You are simply playing a game, on a golf course and applying most RoGs to that game - just like in 'bounce' games.
Why do you persist with this statement. It's been proven to be wrong!
Here's Congu's note: http://www.congu.com/faqs/appendix F.pdf
Note that the evidence - of thousands of matches - actually indicates that the low handicapper actually has an advantage!
Either desist, add an 'imo' or at least a smilie!
that told you Bob![]()
a different thread, I don't care what CONGU say full handicap in singles matchplay is a nonsense.........................IMO
Reminds me of Robbie Fowler quite a few years ago against Arsenal, was awarded a penalty after referee had deemed it that Seaman brought him down. Fowler informed ref he hadn't been fouled but gone over after a fair challenge, ref still gave the penalty and Fowler deliberately missed. (got a feeling someone scored from the rebound though) but to me that was proper sporting conduct from fowler
Did he deliberately miss?looks like a flippin' good save to me

..... 'not play the Rules of Golf' - just like in 'bounce' games"
but you then follow it up by saying & quoting Congu rules ?
Personaly i took it as a bit of banter between forumers
Im sure if Bob or any of the rest on here play in a comp they play by full rules of golf, despite our own opinions on them , just my opinion tho ..
Golfers can be stubborn fellows'!
I should hope so. Otherwise, if not by accident/ignorance, that would make them a cheat!
You say you speak from experience, well so do I and my experience tells me I normally came second off 3/4s never mind full h/cap.
So David Seamans a liar then yeah.. Ok you believe that one.
I;m out.
Who called Seaman a liar...............I must have missed that one.
Anyway, this thread is about cheating, not lying, although the two are never far apart.
Slime.
My experience tells me I normally came second off 3/4s never mind full h/cap.
or being a member of one club ( green fees £820 ) and h/c 7,but also a member of another club near WINWICK (green fees £240) and there having a h/c of 16 and producing this h/c certificate for open comps at other courses not in the area, and yes i did report him but was told he had declared the one with his higher h/c as his home course and they could do nothing !!!!!! that is a cheat.
exactlyWhy are the green fees important ?does the guy just pay the cheap green fees solely to maintain another false handicap
