Breaking a toe

Just got back from my first visit to a driving range after managing to break my toe getting out of bed one morning about three weeks ago - just don't ask :(

Ive had to spend the last three weeks staring at a shiny new custom fitted Ping Rapture 3 wood propped against a wall in it's cellophane wrapper (club pro bought).

Pleased to report that all the tapping away on this forum and re-reading of 'Swing Like A Pro' seems to have done wonders.

The club is finely weighted with it's graphite shaft and the stock Ping grips are great even in my 'bunch of bananas' type hands.

I hadn't even noticed the airbrushed moon/ crescent alignment emblem on the black top edge.

The club sits well at address on its sole plate with the hands placed about in line with the ball.

The sound from a clean strike is that of a solid metallic rasp rather than the high-register, tinny concussion from some high MOI woods ive had the misfortune to stand next to when fired.

The feel from a similar strike is that of full blooded connection which sends shivering messages of gratifying feedback to body and brain.

I'm really happy with it and while the toe is still healing i'll look forward to adding it to the toolkit in weeks to come.

Ha! :D

Nothing so glam or lucrative i'm afraid.

Tuesday morning get out of bed half pished.

Make way to bathroom.

Bash toe on bedpost on way past.

Toe looks like a broken branch on a tree.

Comment to self along lines of, ' Oh good gracious me, that smarts somewhat.'- or words to that effect.

Pass out.

Come round.

Hobble to fracture clinic via GP surgeory.

2 days watching 'telly tubbies' with foot up.

Back to work out of desperation.

I managed to break my big toe a few years back in work. I was standing behind my manager looking at some spreadsheets on his computer. I took a step back to go back to my desk and he decides to wheel his chair back. The caster wheel and 14 stone of manager when straight over my toe and broke the bone in 2 places.

And he was my best mate as well as my boss!!!!

Cheers all.

Like Homer I managed to break it in two places. Once diagonally through the bone and also cleanly across the face of it :(

Must be a design fault.
