Played Brancepeth Castle at the weekend, what a great course and club. Very warm welcome, a decent amount of people on the course but could largely truck along at my own pace with very little delay. The course itself was in great nick and is so enjoyable to play. As a pretty low standard player I found the Par 3 5th & 9th challenging because of their length and the tee shot on the 9th was super tight with trees either side and over the ravine. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area.

Really enjoyed the hilly terrain (massive difference to my usual courses) and the 18th is a good finishing hole with a *huge* hill. A few pics below.....

Super course. A bit heavy to walk around but we'll worth it. In the late 60s, when I was around 19, I played 3 rounds there on a blazing hot day with a pal who was around 5' 7" & 15 stones. I was extremely tired at the end. I think my partner was too.
