built up a "new" club from bits and bobs I had lying about.

I have put an Aldila NVS graphite shaft into my Ping S56 2 iron head. A trim of the tip, a trim on the butt, a new ferrule, Aroldite the shaft into the head and a new Ping ID8 grip.

Jobs a good un!

No idea how it'll work but it passed an hour! Feels a bit "head heavy" but I can easily remove the shaft once I get the proper shaft for the two iron.

Might unleash it at Bogside tomorrow for a giggle!!!

Which version of Araldite did you use Craw. I tried the supposed "super" 2 part epoxy with a 7 iron I re-shafted last year and the head came loose after about 10 shots.
Then tried stuff called JB Weld which was fantastic until I noticed that it was proof against temperatures of up to 500*F and couldn't get the bloody head off again.
Now I use Evostik Ultra 2 part epoxy and it's great.

Sounds as though you didn't put in enough glue, I use rapid and it works absolutely champion.

Put plenty in. Usually mix up around 30g of epoxy which is more than enough. Just didn't work with that stuff.
I have a shaft change to do next weekend so will give the rapid stuff a go.
Never use JB Weld :D lol

Watch the rapid stuff! If you get distracted like I did you end up with only half the shaft extension in place :o
