The 17th at Goring & Streatley is totally bonkers.

17th at Bellshill is madness. Around 160yds on an elevated tee over some high trees and a fenced-off electricity sub-station to a blind green.

Shoulda won their Silver Salver last year until I came a cropper at that - WilliamAlex1 will confirm how bonkers a hole it is....

Hole on Monte Mayor in Spain
Par 5 over a big crater 576yds downhill I hit driver over the crater and two putts for eagle from just off the green .

There's a hole like that at a number of courses I've played over the years where you can hit a straight shot or even up one side and the slope will take it all the down to the other side, usually into the first cut or worse still as everyone is in the same boat into a divot. I hate them as a good drive is never rewarded and that just seems wrong

I drove into Park de Floresta in the Algarve for a nosey this morning.... all of it I could see looked totally bonkers!

Stopped a Espiche on the way back...looked odd in places too...

I wonder some courses are plonked on extreme landscapes just to sell houses
