No, not your nostrils, but a particularly difficult hole on your home course that you can't seem to score (well) on.

I just can't seem to play this particular Par 3 -17th - 124 yarder for love nor money.

Hit it too hard or right then you have to chip onto the green, which is way above head level, too short or left and your in the sand. The green isn't particularly big either, it's only a SI 15.

My last 2 attempts were 5's, which is double bogey. I think perhaps once I have succeeded, the mental block will go away.

When the course is quiet maybe I shall hit a few and try different strategies/clubs.

Yes. Our 12th, a dogleg left with 3 bunkers on the inside corner and 2 greenside bunkers. The green is plenty big enough and its not the longest of the par 4's, 430yds, but £$%^&&^ if I can hit the green in 2.

Always the 16th for me. Around 400 yard par 4 with an elevated tee but very tight fairway with a slightly left and raised green. Only 3 bunkers on the hole(2 fairway) but for some reason I always hook my teeshot left onto the first fairway. I dont know why I do it but it always happens. I then have to get back over the top of the trees and seem to play cack from then on. Always end up then hitting my approach to the right of the green and ending up chipping from the bottom of the hill. Its mental as I get 2 shots on this hole but usually walk off with a 7 for 1 point gggrrrrr.

6th hole at foyle golf club. par 4 404 whites. second shot is uphill with bushes all the way up the right and a few small ones to left. i often lay up on this hole if the card is going ok. i have wreaked many a round at this early stage by attempting to hit the green in 2 after a short drive. these days how far i hit off the tee and wind direction can make up my mind for me. i am never too unhappy with a bogey 5 on this hole.

how far do you drive the ball? im sure you still have a long enough 2nd shot in. the dogleg left would hurt me as i naturally hit a fade/ slice !

I thought the first was a problem couldn't get away with anything less than a double (6) with some unmentionables too, this was until shotgun start comp I'm starting on 16 another par 4 get off to a cracking start a triple! Only to proceed to rattle off pars on 17, 18 and then bogey hole 1 so I'm now thinking it's not actually the 1st but my first hole!!

half an hour on the range before hand would do you scores the world of good it seems. even the pros need to warm up. im guilty of landing 10 mins before tee off time and taking a few holes to settle in. never mind any putting practice!

The bunkers are at driving distance, which forces me to play right of them and hope I'm tight to them. Hit straight sees me through the fairway in the elephant grass. Usually, like you, my fade will see me with a long 2nd, out of the rough.

At the moment it's our 18th. 430 yards SI 6 so I don't get a shot.
Pretty straight but clag left and right if you go too far off line.
Biggest problem is that it's a bloody long hole to not have a shot on especially into the wind.
Even a good drive leaves a long shot in to a slightly raised green surrounded by mounds.

Also our 5th par 3 SI 7
200 yards long, no shot, mounds, drop-offs, OB left, ditch right - just a bundle of fun...

I had a look at hdid a few weeks back to see if i could find an area to try and improve this coming season, was shocked to see that in 7 comps played last year (1st season at new course) i was 8 over on par 3 3rd

but only 1 over for the longer uphill into the wind par 3 10th

I suppose thats what makes the game so frustrating but enjoyable.

I dont so much have a Bogey Hole, but there is one Particular tee shot on my course that just doesnt fit my eye, dont know why......??? It isnt even a particularly Hard hole, par 5, just the Tee shot 'does my head in'
Its one of the few tee shots on the course that I overly think about.........

the 18th par 3. not a hard hole for anyone else except me! ive never hit the green off the tee and if im not in the main road on the right im in a bunker or duff it off the tee

home course - 13th par 3 SI 5 220yards always bogey it hard to hit the green

Goswick - 3rd hole not sure on yardage but i always bogey it miss the green loads of times

Our 6th is a par 5 running parallel to the Manchester Ship Canal. Anything left is a gonner! I could be pushing everything right all day, then come to the 6th and every time i duck hook it straight left....

Any of them at any given time

Same, but particular mention goes to our par 5 3rd hole. It's a dogleg right to left with OOB all down the left, trees all down the right and the fairway slopes at about a 45* angle in places, helpfully encouraging a hook OOB or if you manage to hold it off, a nice big fade into the trees.

The green is also extremely narrow with OOB being a path away to the left and a 30 foot deep crater in the ground to the right.

It's a complete Alan of a hole.

My usual way of paying it is to slice my tee shot into the trees, chip out, hook my next one oob, slice the next one into the trees, chip out, miss the green, fluff another chip then have a 3 putt for an easy ten :)
