After my what sunglasses thread ive had a look around and although Oakleys seem to top the list i just wondered if anyone had the bloc glasses. Im looking at the modenas but just wanted some opinions as they seem to get a good write up, plus i can get 40% off.

Did you look at my comment in your thread!!! they are the ones i suggested, very good, strong, decent filtering, brightens up a dark day while being great in direct sunlight. A decent lower cost alternative to oakley.

Check your local debenhams too, they sell them in there!

sorry i hadnt caught up on the whole thread. Are they a snug fit in width?

yeh seem fine, i have issues with glasses that are either too heavy or squeeze above your ears too tight, either of them and i cant wear them for more than 5 mins as i get a head ache from them. The Blocs i have a great on both counts and can wear all day long.

Bloc sunglasses are the best budget glasses you can get imo. I use bloc glasses when skiing so i dont risk trashing my oakley's. They are great for the money and can take some serious stick too

For the people that like very light weight glasses but snug and extremely though then take a look at 'gatorz' they're used mainly for skydiving but i wear mine all the time. You really don't know you're wearing them

I've got lots of pairs of Oakleys and they are much better than Bloc sunglasses I've also previously bought.

A good halfway house cost-wise are Bolle. I've got a few pairs of Bolle glasses and they are good quality without being as expensive as Oakleys. I believe Westwood wears Bolle.

Swear by Oakley, wear them for cycling, golf, shooting. Fantastic sporting glasses, prefer my ray bags for normal wearing, and use bolle safety glasses at work which are canny
