First ever comp round today without a blob..36 points, with seven singles...Which is the main difference this season.I seem to be able to scramble better to get that 1 point. Our next qualifier is this Friday, so maybe another cut..

no score on a hole or could also be used to describe time of the month for your lady friend :o, might both be southern expressions.

Well done...good feeling!

I've not had a blob in years, I gave them up for lent in 1995. If I make a 7, it's a 7.

I played with a chap that "refused" to putt out for a score once he'd passed the point of no return......

You had no worse then a double (I guess).....that's terrific..... :)

Whats wrong with that ? I always pick up if I cant score , saves messing about and time wasting

I agree, but if you miss for a 7 (or whatever) and have a 2-3 footer tap in, tap it in!!

This guy would nudge it round the hole (like he didn't care) 2-3-4 putts from under 4 foot?? and then pick up.

I'd hate to see what would happen in a medal.....never tested himself to make the tiddlers.

That's good scoring. Good to play to handicap anyway and good considering all the single pointers. THe best bit though was that you were able to get up and down to keep the scoreboard ticking over. It sounds like the ball striking may not have been brilliant but its all about getting it in the hole. I hit the ball rubbish in the medal on Sunday but still played to my handicap with some good putting, a couple of sand saves and a few decent chips.

Well done and good luck at the weekend.
