Bit of fun in the back garden..

Not bad....better than I could do.

Then again, when was the last time you chipped through a suspended hoop to a flag on a golf course.

I think this is the biggest waste of time though! why would anyone do this?

Good fun but our garden is not big enough to think about it and HID would kill me if I chipped and took divots out of her prized lawn

Homer, I always get a telling off :Deither I am crushing plants or scaring the guineapigs...lol

Any practice is worthwhile, this for example helps accuracy of line, length, its not just about putting it in the net, its about seeing the shot in its fullness and relating it to what you would see with the same vision on the course. I have a half decent short game (when Im on form)and practice in different ways to reduce repetative bordom helps. ;)

Are you trying to argue this is better than emptying a tube or two of balls around the chipping green at the club?
:)

Eh??? If I was at the club I wouldnt be doing this anyway, why would I? This is as has been posted....'A bit of fun practice at home, where I dont have a chipping green handy  :D

How far do guinea pigs fly with a lob wedge and do you get more spin than using a pro V

I've heard that the Spin-milled wedges cut them up more - is this correct?

Please note:- No animals were harmed during the posting of these threads.

Answer 1 - About 25 yards.
Answer 2 - It does, and the hair is a pig (no pun intended) to get out of the grooves.

There weren't until now!

;) :p

This is why spin milled wedges are outlawed.
However, many of you are overlooking the compression charactoristics of guineapigs......for example, I got a lot of backspin with PW using Beryl..(brown and white guineapig, named after kids Nanna) yet half the spin rate using thesame club with Ruby..(guineapig named after a horse)

So Beryl is the Pro V and Ruby the Pro Vx

I think you are right homer, but what gets me is, they are never marked up properly, if you reached into any old box of guineapigs you wouldnt know if you pulled out ProV1 or any old balata. surely there should be a ruling on this? :D
