Binning Sky

We had a problem with our Sky box and got told that we'd have to pay for an engineer to come out to fix it. Told them to forget it and we'd cancel our subscription. All of a sudden they discovered that they could do a free engineer visit "on this occasion".

Do you have a link to Openbox?

sorry Clive I don't, one of the guys at our club was recommended and fitted it for us. Apparantly he has done quite a few at the club, and I don't mean half a dozen. When I played with Dewsweeper the other week at Warrington, a guy there was saying he has the same box. His main priority is he can watch the boxing.

I just spent a year with BT & Netflix after getting fed up with the silly prices, but got a great deal coming back to SKY, £46/m for a year. Phone, broadband (no fibre here yet, but 18mb anyway) all channels Inc. sports & movies, multiform plus upgraded boxes to the 2tb one downstairs and sky+ upstairs. I did get used to not having it but very pleased to have it back!

A great deal would be a discounted rate for life. I guess you couldn't get that because you left and went back.

Im with Virgin. They keep creeping the prices up, I keep calling and threatening to leave, they keep knocking it down.

This time though I was genuinely hell bent on leaving or considered dropping tele and phone just keeping broadband.

I now pay £40 a month for phone, basic tele and 100mb fibre which is being upgraded to 150mb at no extra cost. I use the inlaws sky go through the Xbox one for sky. If they ever cancel though, I'll need a rethink. For now I'm happy. Virgin Fibre is pretty darn good.
