Beware of the trigger

I was teaching a guy yesterday who was hooking the ball.
I went through the usual suspects and couldn't see anything that would cause it.
That was until I spotted his "Trigger"
He couldn't start his swing without it.
Here is what he did

When you say "Trigger" Bob, do you mean a movement/twitch/habbit that starts your swing??

If so I have one.

I release my knees so they are bent a second before I start my back swing.

I used to do the same as the the bloke in the video. Never thought I did until I saw it on video. Still got quite a strong grip but working on making it weaker over the winter period
Not sure what I do now though, probably just as well because I'm not thinking about it...

The whole manufacturer's name is visible on the glove by the time he's shifted his grip round. Did he realise he was doing it?

Thats the value of a good coach - re gripping is fatal.

The clever bit is spotting it as the pupil wouldnt know they are doing it.

I used to do this really badly, thought i was the only one. I use a tiny forward press now to get things moving instead
