Now can it take it to the course on Sunday. After reading a post on here about strengthening your grip to cure a slice I tried it out, and low and behold my ludicrous slice became a controlable fade. Driver and 3 wood both working great and I was able to reinject a bit of pace for a bit more distance.
Then I moved onto my short game and it was pretty good with the new grip also. Very happy at the moment, I just hope it wasn't a flash in the pan.

I just came back from my worst in a while, took just 3 clubs, driver, 5 wood and 6 iron...

While walking to my bay I dropped my driver and as I tried to catch it as it fell my 5 wood snagged on a pole and broke in half.

I then proceeded to hit some decent shots with my iron and driver trying to work on keeping a good position through impact.

I then began to shank the 6 iron for a few shots, then hit about 10 perfect ones, shank a few more, more perfect then shanked the last 10 in the bucket.

The pro who came to see me to fix my 5 wood shaft gave me some balls to fit me then talked me into getting a new shaft for my driver too as my current one is too long and not stiff enough.

TBH I was actually going to get my driver shaft done, then talked myself out of it and decided just to hit some balls. When I broke the 5 wood shaft I thought "screw it" and shelled out 90 a shaft to get something to suit my swing. At least the fitting was free :)

Walk under a ladder ?

The sound the 5 wood shaft made when it broke made up for it :) I am also sure the shaft change will help my long game no end as I was struggling.

I was having a good day up until I drove to the range, massive traffic jam most of the way there, more than usual.

Maybe should not have bothered as it cost me 90 each for the two shafts plus the range cost, the fuel and the confidence in my swing cos of the shanks (pretty sure its just down to the weight starting on my heels at setup, I realised it when I checked my stance when I got home).
