Best Irons for £200?

Golf Depot have SLDR irons for £169 and £199.

I've tried quite a few clubs over the weekend and to be honest I'm pretty bad with them all, but been a beginner, I can't tell the difference between any of them, am I better off just buying a set aimed at beginners and getting lessons and learning with the clubs i buy?
 
Seem to be in the same boat as me, only been hitting balls a few months, only found a big difference hitting a set of old forged titleist I was given which punish you on Miss-hits and changing to the TMs, which are a lot easier to hit (maybe sticking with the forged set to highlight swing floors is a better learning technique)

Not sure that's the way forward personally. Why not speak to a pro, get him to look at your swing and advice you from there. My worry would be that a beginners set will outstrip your ability in a short time while investing in something a bit more "high tech" will give you a better longer term investment

MD Golf are a decent brand, good quality gear . They don't sponsor tour pros so their clubs are generally cheaper so if you like them that is half the battle. And if you think they will work well for you there's much more chance of them actually doing that.

I'd use clubs that make the game as easy as possible. And get a pro to highlight any swing flaws. Don't punish yourself by using clubs with little forgiveness.
 
Darn, too late for me also ;)

Will be good to hear how you get on with them. When the place thaws out that is!
