Best Golf Commentator?

Can't stand Allis and his continuous waffle about pointless garbage. Sam Torrance is poor, as is Mark James and Monty is to much about him! Johnny Miller is like Allis to full of his own importance.

What frustrates me though is sky wheel out Howard Clark for big events when he is depressing, yet bench Radar who is superb.

I do like Faldo though, I like some of the new breed and the honesty they bring like Coltart, Van de Velde and Howeller. I do like Butch Harmon and his way that even in the Ryder cup he stayed neutral and balanced, also Ewen Murray seems to call it right most times.

None of these whippersnappers are a patch on dear old Henry Longhurst!
What a corker ! Henry was superb, and taught Peter Alliss well.

Bruce Critchley is the bumbling one. Always gets his facts wrong. I remember Ken Brown being one of the most miserable players ever. Leopards don't change their spots, so he is just an act to me. Feherty should be commentating on the darts. Radar is good and says it how he sees it, as does Butch.

I like the 5live commentary for golf especially The Open.

Butch and Feherty are excellent on sky.

Favourites got to be feherty, don't hear enough from him. Also like Andrew Cotter, Butch (Ryder cup; "take that Brandt Snedeker!"), faldo's quite good, Wayne Riley and Wayne Grady.

Alliss seems to divide opinion almost as much as Mrs T did! I like him. I don't care much if he bumbles on or makes the odd mistake because he is so interesting to listen to.

There's something about Mark Roe that I don't like listening to, and fast becoming my favourite is Butch Harmon. He just has so much enthusiasm for the game to match his knowledge. Listening to him talking about DJ going over the trees on 13 made me smile last night.

I like Alliss and Harmon best, and most of the sky commentators and presenters are miles better than the Beeb.
But I don't like Monty. He somehow manages to sound negative and accusatory even when giving praise.

I used to like Dougie Donnally as the presenter for the Beeb, but he went elsewhere and we ended up with Linaker, Irvine etc who are mostly useless.

BOXY,one of the boys and a good one for one liners, had a cracking night with him and JOHN DALY a few years ago,ALLIS is i'm sorry to say well past his sell by date, but we could always get that great icon of golf GARY LINEACER back !!!!!
