Whose Masters coverage was the best BBC or Sky?

Actually watched Sky all weekend which surprised the beejeebus out of me think Sky Sports was still the last channel watched when I got home Saturday evening so just stuck with it! Really starting to appreciate Butch Harmon though and Billy Foster came across superbly with some good insight!

Just a shame they kept interrupting and putting Monty on - When does his senior tour career start?

I watched Sky only until the BBC HD coverage started on Saturday. I find the repeated adverts annoying on Sky.
I do however think that Peter Alliss is past his best.

I don't have Sky, you heathens you, so have to watch the Beeb. I don't like having a woman presenting but Allis is great! Although he did seem to sound like someones old grandad at times, with him reminises about his old dad AND him being quite handy with a 1 iron in his day......

I switched to BBC for the final day in the hope that Westwood would start holing putts on BBC.
Sadly he misses them on all channels.
Other than that I enjoyed the commentary more on BBC than Sky and like a previous poster said I found that the HD picture was better on BBC than Sky as well. Don't know why that would be??

I don't have Sky, nor will I ever have it. I have seen it previously and don't like it. As with most of their coverage, hyperbole is everywhere and it is highly irritating.

I thought the BBC coverage was so much better for not having Gary Lineker there. He adds nothing at all.

Allis, Grady and Brown were superb. As usual.

I started out with Sky so stuck with it over the weekend. To be honest, there are plus points and down sides to both options and I do not think that either side has got a commentary team that is better than the other and both have weak links (Monty was coming across as bitter and seemed to be having constant digs when commentating on Westwood, and Allis has been past his best for a while). As with most sports, when it is available I watch the sky or BBC pictures and have the commentary from 5 live.

Watched the first two days on Sky then moved to the Beeb. Peter Allis has been the voice of golf coverage for me since I was a kid and some of his comments are very funny (think it was last year when someone had a clutch putt and Allis commented "not the best time to be wearing white trousers").
The standard definition picture on the BBC is significantly better than Sky - makes you wonder if Sky over compresses standard def to upsell the benefits of Hi-def.
One show I thoroughly enjoyed was the Masters Breakfast Show. What a great combination in the studio with Billy Foster an absolute star.

BBC hands down.

Sky was handy for Amen Corner etc early on, but I cant stand all the 'Hollywood' segments, Monty and the same adverts every 10 minutes!

BBC were great I thought, wish they had all 4 days.

sky made it very technical and tried to be clever. ken brown used a large microphone, cones and a towel, that's my level haha

plus colin montgomery was speaking like he'd been there done it all and won lots, was doing my head in.

BBC as always Mark Roe going back to Phils shot from a few years ago and talking to us all like we are stupid and dont know anything

Sky should stick to football its at their level

Im torn as watch most the years golf on Sky and love how they put a lot into the presentation and the like but I do like to continous show the BBeb put on. Peter Allis is a legend but hes had his day now and time to hang up the mic. He does send me to sleep after a bit..... I actually quite like Monty tbh.. and I do like Butch Harmon who I feel is pretty knowledgeable and fair..

Sky just tip it for me but only just and it was good effort from the Beeb but alas with no money and hardly any decent sporting events in the calender over the year like cricket etc I can only see Sky get stronger.... :)

I'm another one slightly baffled by the claims of adverts every 10 minutes.

I watched all the coverage on sky and although there was adverts they certainly weren't at that frequency and when they did come on it was just a single advert.

Sky all day long for me, and for all sports too. Sky are far more entertaining and they invest in the sports they have.

Not a fan of the BBC at all, their coverage is dull and usually consists of people who come from different sports and seemingly have little idea what they are talking about.

BBC for me. I hate adverts, and it meant not listening to Monty.

Peter Alliss came out with a classic for me, that had me laughing out loud. Discusing length, he said 'done the course, please send the muscles' Unfortunately I am old enough to remember all the body building ads from the 70's.
