As above, we have had best hole and most fun, what about best finish hole.
A lot of courses I have played have a disappointing final hole so I love playing courses that have a spectaular or challenging last hole so that when you walk off with a birdie, par, bogey or whatever, you feel like you finished well.
For me The Hilton at Templepatrick has a cracking final hole.
Par 4, Driver or wood short of the water if the wind is about with a bail out up the right or go for the green with the risk of being short and wet. Hard to ignore the clubhouse behind too which makes the backside twitch just that little bit more.

Carnoustie championship - after all the history with Van de Velde/Lawrie then Harrington/Garcia just being there is exciting but actually playing it including having to carry the Barrie Burn twice is even better. It is for me as good an 18th as there is.

I agree Carnoustie has to have the edge!! It can be birdied but it has the potential to produce doubles or worse!

I like our 18th par 5 565 off white, 595 off Blue.

Out of bounds on the right all the way to the green.
A raft of bunkers also down the right.

On your second shot water in play down the left.
Green surrounded by 4 bunkers--one short right, one at the back, one left back right.
Green looks like it has an elephant buried in it standing up.
Can ruin a great card or if played well provide a closing birdie.
