Hey Guys - anyone been to Europe recently and got a good Euro rate? Going next Wednesday and wanted to know where people changed their money for best value.....I know the airport is a no no

little brother has just come back off holiday. Said he got the best exchange rate just taking money out from atm's over their.

Indeed - and even better with a Nationwide Flex account.

I think there are a few little charges here and there but they are minimal. It used to be completely free - I wasn't charged once, taking out small amounts in USA, Fiji, NZ, Aus, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, India. They've since put some small charges on, but last year in Vietnam, the charge was still well under a quid.

Travelex generally give the best rate, you pay online via a card and they post the money to you. I find it gives the best rate.

Last time I used a card from the post office. Top it up with Euros and use like a switch/cash card. Found it really easy and have topped it up a few times since.
