Best competitive round today

In my third season in the club and today had the best round of my short club career. Shot 84, 13 over, scored 42 points (off 19) 22 front and 20 back.
Front nine-5 pars(4 in a row from 3th to 7th, 3 bogies and a double.
Back nine--1 birdie, 1 par, 6 bogies and a double(on index1)

A few things went my way, went into the lateral water hazard on the par 3 sixth and luckly chipped in for par.

Spend some time yesterday on the practice green and our range, which only allows 5 iron max due to its lack of length. THE OLD SAYING IS TRUE--PRACTISE MAKES PERFECT.

Should lead to the first cut of the season.

Had my first competition yesterday.. shot 40 points and got cut .8, down the 21.2 and today shot net 71 so will probably be cut again down to 20.8.

The good thing was i played dreadful Custom fitted driver coming next week and some more lessons and hopefully i can get below 20 onto my target of 15 woohoo... shame the greens are dreadful at the club at the moment

Your right there homer you dont want some bandit winning all the comps in the middle of hte season.

Wahey shot a gross 85 (+12) and a net 63 today so happy me and my partner shot a 46 points in 4BBB

Very happy played well today and i hope i get a cut

Just logged on to Howdidido to find handicap cut from 19.4 to 17.3, half way to my initial target of 15.

Delighted with the cut.

Can testify to how hard the course is with some very tricky greens if you put it in the wrong spot.

TRS30 Saturday comp was off the yellows. Sunday comps are usually off the whites--which is great if you play both days you get to play in two different comps and off the two different tees.
