Im just wondering if anyone can recommend a quality budget putter. Sadly my md Connemara has started getting several rust spot son the shaft so it's time to start thinking ahead. I've also tried and failed with my Yes Sandy putter so it has already been given to a friend.

I know people have said good things about the milled cleveland classic range which you can pick up for £50 new but wondering if there any others out there that I should try. I'm wanting to stick with a milled face as I get more feel from them and have struggled with pace in the past when I've tried a huge amount of putters with inserts.

I will try before I buy where possible due to the amount of putters I've took a chance on

why not try ebay to see if there are any bargin putters on there. alot of them will be in good nick too if the owner looked after it and used a headcover. id look there first! do you know what lenght suits you would be my first question?

My connemara is 34" but I grip down on it so would like to try a 33". I'm going to do a little more digging about the weight of the connemara head I get on with it and would like something about the same weight

The cheaper Nike Method Putters (Core I think) come in at about £70.00 and seem like a decent option.

This is not a bad one for a similar price

This one keeps calling to me every time I go into the my pro shop:

But I need to get out and find one of these to try:

I've got a couple of Clevelands, a #1 in the standard finish and a #6 in black. The #6 is a semi mallet with a milled face, I find it very easy to line up and distance control is easy to judge. I got mine for £50 online.

Putters are very personal things but I'm really impressed with mine

I've had a thought to try the CC6 black mid-mallet. Looks my kind of thing. hmmmmmnnn
