Beeeffff!

Here here!!!

He's a character in a golfing landscape devoid of these in these media trained days. If he can get kids into golf as a result great. If he entertains on and off the course then great. He can certainly play enough to earn a decent living and maintain a tour card. What's not to like

Both my kids are playing because of him - 'who is that guy Dad, he gets the crowds going and looks so happy'

Neither can stand Tiger and I won't type what they say about him

Beef is a breath of fresh air for Golf and I for one am glad he is on tour

Any of you play without a laugh and a joke? I have met plenty who do and I never play with them again .....

This is fun, its how we relax, and this guy manages it with a smile on his face - and its his career - would love to see some of you in your office!

As said in my post , the guy is a breath of fresh air for golf and is playing on the hardest tour in golf. Bloke couldn't be more down to earth if he tried- not sure why that's bad for the front cover of a mag really.

Ok put it this way. Does someone outside the top 100 in the world (high of about 74) deserve magazine front covers? In my opinion no

Don't suppose you're a bit jealous are you? Maybe?
You know, boy next door, not won anything serious, ugly teeth and a beard, not really that good at golf but onto magazine covers!
Outrageous, a stain on the good face of the game of golf!
Good heavens what next? Utter idiots prattling away on social media telling us all how to live our lives?
Kids everywhere depressed and with mental health issues!
Heavens, it's a tragedy I tell you.

She made money because of her looks. I don't think Mr Sullivan would claim to be up there as a looker :D.

AK made money just because of her looks? I know you probably meant that a bit tongue in cheek... didn't you?
I'm not a great fan of a society/media putting "pretty" people on a pedestal and we did get a lot of AK pushed in our faces.

According to Wiko, AK didn't win any titles, can't say I remember any epic finals battles she played in either.

But... Between 1995 and 2002 she earned $3.6m on WTA Tour - by playing!

I don't know if she was able to enter because of invites or if she legitimately qualified for all those tournaments, but she wasn't that bad you know. And not as good as the media/sponsors desperately wanted her to be!

Wow - harsh school, this

Guy makes pretty fast progress over 4 years or so, wins his maiden title last year, finishes 26th on the Race to Dubai, gets into the Top 100 in the world and makes it out on to the PGA Tour. To me, that would suggest he might just do a little bit better than 'keep his tour card' every year.

If there is a concern, it is perhaps that he has gone to the States a year or two too soon, and another couple of years on the European Tour to really consolidate might not have been a bad idea.

Could be wrong, of course... might claim his maiden PGA Tour title next week!

Fairly sure she held a top ten ranking for a while as well and they don't give them out for free.

Errm, his stupid redneck beard and Cleatus teeth.
He`s got a face that could scare Police Horses.

And he can play golf far, far better than any on here!

What a bunch of sad-arses many of you come across as, knocking a guy who is making great progress at the upper levels of the sport that he (and we) loves.

Get over yourselves.

I like Beeeeeef, He seems a decent lad.

I'm not so sure I'd like him if he was constantly bleating on about how many Ferraris he's got and how great he's going to be when he reaches his full potential though.

I like Beef and Andy Sullivan

Both guys are living the dream, also I believe both unlike most tour pros they have had normal jobs in the past so really appreciate the life they are now leading

I remember seeing Monty at The Welsh Open at Celtic Manor a few years ago, played his tee shot off the first into the bunker proceeded to drag his club behind him on the ground the whole way to his ball. Had a face like a smacked arse the whole way round. Was thinking there are millions who would pay to swop places with you.

Hoping now the novelty has worn off Beef focuses a bit more on his golf this year, good luck to him a refreshing change, loved the segment with him and Radar in the buggy last year

Element of tongue in cheek. Expanding my comment I should have said she made the bulk of her money through her looks. On the world stage she was decent but as you say she won no titles, no great games. No one is going to talk about AK when the history of tennis is discussed. Incidentally, if you look at the period mentioned, 8yrs and divide the sum won then she earned $450,000 per year from her tennis. Based on the money in the game, the team you need around you, costs incurred etc. that isn't actually that great although to be fair you would have to factor in inflation etc to know if that is really any good or not.

Clearly not rubbish, not a park hacker but the off court earnings I am sure are disproportionate to her talent. No issue from me on that, that is how things work for men and women. Being attractive or handsome helps bring the money in.

The interview just now shows the sort of person Beef is and how great he is for the game. Just love the sport , misses playing with his Swindle mates and just can't wait to get back to play in The Open - brilliant bloke and character

As for his ability - well this time two years ago he was starting life out again on the ET - right now he has a win on tour after his three on the challenge tour plus a great first comp at The Open. Can see him winning more and I really hope he can get into the Ryder Cup because he would be brilliant

He's still at the beginning of his tour career and doing so on the toughest tour. He's making a decent living, and shed loads more from his off course endorsements so I'm not sure he's too bothered. He probably realises that he'll never be world #1 but as long as he keeps his card and keeps the cheques coming I'm sure he's happy enough

Never agreed with more Homer! :)
