Personally always thought he was a little overrated as a golfer. Is it time we all realise this?

Best finish since Sept last year, tied 22nd (excluding web.com tour).

Who was rating him highly?

He has a PGA tour card so fair play to the lad, thousands of people play full time wishing they had that.

He's still at the beginning of his tour career and doing so on the toughest tour. He's making a decent living, and shed loads more from his off course endorsements so I'm not sure he's too bothered. He probably realises that he'll never be world #1 but as long as he keeps his card and keeps the cheques coming I'm sure he's happy enough

He's getting people interested in the game and always has a smile on his face, what's not to like.

I think he needs to get back to Crossroads and sucking up to Miss Diane 😜

I find him a refreshing change to quite a few of the top players atm.

That's not to say anything is wrong with their demeanor, just he seems chuffed to be where he is.

Probably won't set the world alight, but will bring pleasure to those that meet him.

How's Danny Willett done in the same period? Or Shane Lowry?

Willett has 3 top 5s and Lowry hasn't finished outside the top 50 in his last 10 events. They're also both in the top 100 in the world.

I also disagree with the whole 'bringing new people to the game'. It's the middles aged men that are shouting 'beef' - young kids like athletes like Rory and DJ

Dont get me wrong, he seems like a great guy but I think he's just another run of the mill pro (bit like Anthony wall). Going to do alright out of golf but won't be near the Ryder cup anytime soon.

I don't know if anyone will particularly disagree with your assessment of his ability.

Don't most people look upon him as a very nice guy exceeding all expectations?

I don't think you could say he was overrated.

This. He is enjoying himself, fans are enjoying watching him play. It's an entertainment business and I'd rather watch him than many of the monotone, bland golfers out there. More Beef please🙌

He's down to earth, game for a laugh, relatable, and isn't afraid to interact with the fans. Plenty of "better" players aren't like that. So what if he never wins a major or makes the Ryder Cup team?

He has a European Tour win on one of the most difficult courses in Europe. A Top 10 in The Open. He finished in the Top 30 on the Race to Dubai last year. He's earned playing rights on the PGA Tour. I'd say he's doing alright.

For me he is a refreshing change. Not a bad player but not the best. For some he is an idol. But he is never in the news for the wrong reasons. I bet having a round with him would be fantastic.

I am coming to the conclusion that i am not a fan. I dont think i like Andy Sullivan either.

Wow, I don't think I've ever come across anyone who can't warm to Andy, I think he plays the game with a great attitude.

What is it you don't like about Andy?

Seems like a very decent bloke and by virtue of his position on tour has a heap of talent. Whether he has the skills, desire and make up to 'go large' (apologies :p :D) and win something big should be interesting to see. He's only a young chap finding his way (by his own admission too) and I wish him only the very best and hope he sticks around for a good long while.

I am not sure. I think it is all the social media stuff. I just think he should concentrate on his golf a bit more. Last years circus at Augusta a case in point. Stop making videos, and prepare properly. Yep, i guess you can do both, but strangely, DJ, the world number one doesnt. Nor does Jason Day.

It reminds me of Anna Kournikova. Rubbish player who made a fortune out of media, not tennis.
