Base Layer help

I need a couple of new base layers but I have a problem.

They're all mock or crew neck. I don't like anything remotely tight around my neck. A couple of years ago I found a Polo shirt style base layer in M&S with a 1/4 zip - perfect but they seem to have stopped doing them.

I've spent the last hour scouting around and I can't find anywhere that does a long sleeve base layer with a polo shirt ot 1/4 zip style neck. Must also come in humungous size and not cripplingly expensive.

Any ideas anyone?

Ashworth do a long sleeve wicking polo shirt which does the job quite well (they come up quite big):

The ashowrth shirts are great unless its really cold, then I like to have a compression layer under that.

the under armour stuff is great but on the pricey side

I don't like things around my neck either. Galvin Green do a skin tight base layer which has a V neck and I just wear that under a fleece which does me in all but the coldest weather.

It's called the Enzo and it evens comes in a Rickie Fowler orange.

Get yourself along to Mountain Warehouse or any other outdoor walking/hiking store. You'll find plenty of choice of light base layers with short or long sleeves. Nearly all styles are with a zip collar.

Mountain Warehouse in the Galleria at Hatfield did exactly this, not been in for a while so not sure they still have them.

Brand is Parallel, and they were 2-for-1 at £10

Since there is also a Regatta and a Tog24 there, even if MW don't have them there's a chance either of the others will have something.
