Balls!

Great timing this thread, just when there is a freebie offer

I hope you have entered cos this just might get you a box:whoo:

But you were not thinking about that, were you.............

Not sure why you don't want online bargains but if you change your mind, you can get TM Penta TP5's 'practice' balls on ebay for around £32 for 2 doz. These are brand new perfect balls just with practice stamped on them. By the time you have put your black marker line on them, nobody will know.

And you won't be able to tell the difference between them and the lethals

just because i have run out and need some ASAP, so American golf or my pro shop are my options locally. Used to play the TP5 and the old Penta too, very good balls!

Consistency. i dont want to try a new ball, love it (whether that's psychological or not) and then not be able to buy them again.

AG have the NXT tour S for £30 a dozen. more than happy to pay £20 for something that's decent!

Any ball you choose will eventually be replaced by something "new and improved".

Don't over think things! Anything from Srixon Ad333/NXT Tour/E6 to Prov1/Lethal/ZStar is what I play. Not good enough to notice much different I suppose :D

I play 2009 Nike One platinums....bought a job lot after being given a box to try.

Feel great off my putter and soft my on irons. Not very long but I know my distances with them and thats what counts.

Of course it will, i get that. just want less things to blame! i know its not the ball i use anyway! think of more psychologically than performance wise. if i find a decent priced ball that does roughly what i want, job done. cant blame the clubs anymore!!

I would say the Wilson DX3, Good 3 Piece ball, offers lots of roll on the fairways and good stopping power on the greens.

I gave one to my mate who plays of 6. He normally hits pro v1 and even he was amazed at the ball feel and quality

Exactly,You can pick up the B330 for around 16 a doz if you shop around

please share the source at this price! I might even pay for some balls if I could get those for that price!

Scott - the ProV1x and Z-Star are the closest to the Lethal IMO; NXT Tour S coming in just behind with a slightly heavier feel off the club. I have to say I'm really enjoying playing the Lethal at the moment (8 left....)

Taylormade Penta tp3 I'd recommend, you can pick them up for around £20. They go further than any ball I've ever hit and they spin too. Bridgestone E5 is also a great ball, as is the NXT tour/s but they're a bit pricier.

£30 for mid range balls? The world's gone mad. You can get last year's premium balls for £20 a dozen. Clubhouse golf have B330 for £20 and B330s for £25. Why would you pay £30 for NXTs?

Ive just changed to Callaway Hex Chrome. Very low spin from the driver but great spin from short irons. Ive used quite a few different balls in the last year but going to stick with these for a bit.

Out of the mid range ball I keep going back to the Srixon AD333. The Wilson DX 3 is good but lacks feel on putting in comparison but otherwise is similar, possibly stopping quicker on the green. The Bridgestone E6 is slightly shorter but doesn't stop quite as well.

If you're looking at premium balls the Srixon Z stars, Bridgestone 330's and pro V1's are the way to go

Srixon AD333's for about a quid a ball are worth a try. Great value and so should suit someone like you Scott that likes to spray it about.

Thats why I like them as well.:)

If you want to buy them in AG get some of the FG tour cosmetic blems at £15 a dozen. Don't want to run out and have to change? Buy shedloads then, at that price you can't go wrong.

Callaway Hex Tour Black

I always take advantage of 3 for 2 deals, brings them down to around £22.00 per doz but just for 12 AG do me them for £29.00.

Exactly why I don't want to pay top money! I lose them too often! Lol

Will have a look, the ball I finished up round tyrells was a hex control or something like that I found on numerous trips into the woods, certainly did control off the 9 iron on the 18th so might look at these too!

Thanks all. @hawkeye, said that £30 was top whack, more than happy to pay £15! I suppose that was the point of this thread! Some of the £20 ish a dozen balls have had some great feedback! So happy days.
