The missus is away this weekend, for the first time ever, so myself and my regular partner (who's already played 81 holes since Friday!) were going to tear up the local courses whilst she's gone. Weather report for this weekend? Dreadful! Dammit dammit dammit...

Get out there anyway. It's good experience for competitive play and requires a strong mindset. Even if you only play 9 the course will be yours with no-one around and the beer afterwards (or hot toddy) will taste better

Oh i'm quite used to playing in horrible weather, you don't play royal north Devon for any length of time if you're a fair weather golfer and it doesn't really affect my game at all, I just don't fancy 3 days of getting soaked, especially as the weather's been pretty decent recently, just typical really.

Yeah get out there and enjoy the rain. Atleast if the greens are wet you can fly some wedges in there and not get the regulation tennis ball bounce that you got weeks ago when it didn't rain! :)

I'm keeping an eye on the weather forecast for Friday as we have the Cooden meet coming up, and trust me......Cooden isn't the place to be if the wind and rain get up.
I've looked at the forecast three times over the last 12 hours on the same website now and it has been different each time.
Just see what's happening that morning
;)

Yeah but then you don't get the ridiculous run on the fairway that allowed me to hit a 1-iron to within wedge distance of a (admittedly too short) par 5...

I know which I prefer!
