Ball hit into the ground - plug mark?

I read Decision25-2/6 to be about a ball that is already on a bank and your shot simply drives it into the ground. That is different from a shot that is played from a position short of the bank where the ball has time and space in which to travel through the air -even if a very little. I’d tend to go by distance rather than time ... but I heard that someone once hinted at a relationship between the two.

Yeah I read 25-2/6 that way too, I was just thinking of my approach on 18th yesterday that was very close to & right at a steep bank that obscured the green (thankfully cleared)

Are you thinking of distance achieved relative to the ground or distance covered while above ground ;)

I'm not sure why there is a problem with 25-2/6. It clearly says the ball was not airborne.

This is not the case where the ball has time and space in which to travel through the air.

The OP is about a ball which travelled 3" down and 4" forward. Not a lot of time or space
